Nipple Blanching

My LO is a month old and has been BFing and supplementing. She had a latch problem at the very beginning but I saw a lactation specialist and fixed it. Now all of a sudden I am having nipple blanching on both nipples. It is much mostly on my left nipple. It turns white almost right after she is done feeding on that side. It will go back to normal coloring if I squeeze on my breast, but when I put my tank top or bra back on it tingles and hurts. When I remove the bra or tank top it is white again. I know her latch is bad again because there is a small amount of pain when she latches and sometimes when she is feeding. I will call the lactation specialist on Monday, but I was wondering if any of you have deal with this before and if you had any advice. Thanks!!

    From what I have read, nipple blanching and pain during nursing can be associated with thrush. But I'm sure. Your LC will know for sure.

    I'm going on Monday as well for the same exact reason. I don't think it's thrush for us because LO's mouth isn't white, and it is only my left nipple this is happening to. Ouch! 

    I've been trying to get her to latch deeper...I think I've gotten lazy about that. I sometimes use my finger to open her mouth wider and that has helped a little.

    It's not thrush for me either. Checked that. I hope your apt goes well. Hope they can fix it! My LO doesn't latch deep enough either, but only on the left side. She is fine on the right side, so maybe it's my nipple I don't know.
