Nothing important here just a quick warning that when you start solids they start pooping solids. We had the grossest almost adult like poop today and I realized the happy days of tiny bakery-smelling bf poops are gone.
Is it bad that THIS is why I want to wait until at least 6 months to start solids? I'm very pleased that's the going timeline since my family keeps saying 4 months. I want to at least be out of a hotel (changing diapers on a white bed) before the colon catastrophe of 2013 starts.
Ughhhh. We were thinking of starting today. That also means extra work with the cloth diapers for us. Ugh. Is this with just cereal or have you introduced others?

At the rate we are going it is going to be 6 months before he actually masters eating this stuff. And yes, it is that bad!
Js hasn't changed... But it was stinky to begin with. I don't think he's actually swallowing a lot, lol. Plus, he poops all. The. Time. Probably 5 times a day.

Lexie too! She is an excrement machine. I get a little jealous of the people who used to post the freak-outs about their LOs going days in between poops.
I'm so glad our ped recommended waiting as long as possible too. Vi seriously poos every other diaper change most days! I've also heard that if you make your own baby food the poo is better, due to not being processed like store bought. Not that poo can be better.
ohhh poo can be better. Much much better than this!

Cereal, peaches, pears and squash....don't know which is doing it

I make her food from organic fruits and veg and her poop still smells like a homeless person....maybe it's the rice cereal though that's store bought (still organic)

I personally haven't experienced it myself yet, since we havent started solids. This was just what my dad's wife told me she experienced with my sisters. She didn't do rice cereal just started with veggies. She was shocked when I told her about oatmeal and rice cereal... this apparently is something done much later in eastern europe where she lives. She said its too heavy for their bellies to digest easily. That might be why her poos smell so bad?
Wow. That's interesting. And funny they tell us to start with cereal. I would think the fruit would make some nasty poos. Seems to with adults.
