LO sleeping

My LO is almost two weeks and sleeps all the time. Lol. He eats, diaper change and back to sleep. Just want to make sure all this sleeping is completely normal. Sometimes he will be up for an hour or so and sometimes just sleeps all the time.

Re: LO sleeping

  • Totally normal!

  • Normal. Same here.
  • Lucky! My LO gets over tired and fusses but refuses to fall asleep. He sleeps best when we take him somewhere in the car. I wish he would sleep more or longer. All he wants to do is eat.
  • Same here with sleeping.

  • Mine sleeps constantly, too. I have to literally fight him awake to get him to eat. He is only 5 days old, so hoping he wakes up a little soon to make feeding easier.

  • So normal. Jake is 3 weeks, and he just now will wake for a hour or so about 3 times a day.
  • Mine too. He's 4 weeks old and now we get one or two stretches of alertness when he's not eating.

  • Sounds like my little guy too. Enjoy it while it lasts!

  • DD is just starting to stay awake for longer stretches. At first I kind of felt like she needed to eat more or something because she didn't go right back to sleep. Now we play on the playmat, read books, or walk around the house or outside during her 1-2 hour awake periods.

This is us too. At around two weeks I remember DH making fun of me because I was worried she slept too much. we're definitely noticing longer awake stretched now though, and I'm sure you will soon too.

  • yep, normal. Enjoy it while it lasts!

  • Same here. DS has maybe one stretch of awake time a day...usually around 2:00 pm. Besides that he is either sleeping, eating, or pooping. :)

  • What funny is I was wondering if anyone else's baby was like this but first post about it because I didn't want people to think I was complaining about a baby that sleeps all the time lol

  • Normal, and like a switch one day they will start staying up longer. Honestly take this time to do last minute cleaning and taking naps :)
