2 month shots

LO got 2 mon shots today & man my heart is breaking. Was fine on the way home, I even ran a few errands. Came home fed him & put him down for a nap thinking he did so good and them shots don't got nothing on my little dude. 2 hours later after waking up he just screamed and cried something horrible. We gave him infant tylonal, most of which he spit out, and after an hour of crying hysterically and my heart aching he finally fell asleep. I've just been rocking him afraid to move him. Please someone tell me this passes soon!

    Did you put the medicine dropper in the side of his mouth? That usually helps :)

    DH and I just went through the EXACT same thing today with our twins. We literally just got them to settle down for bed about 20 min ago. I need a big glass of wine!

    In my experience, it takes about 4hrs post-shots for them to start screaming their heads off. They do that for an hour or two, I give some Tylenol and then they pass out for a very long time.

    Two month were the worst.

    He slept so much after the tylonal and being calmed down from screaming. I had to keep checking to make sure he was breathing!

    I'm a spelling freak I have to correct. Tylenol. And squirting it in his mouth by his cheek and then blowing on his face will make sure he swallows it.

    Same thing happened here! LO was fine and smiling the next morning. Hang in there and cuddle!

    When we went for our 2mos. shots, he screamed right after the nurse did the first injection (he got a total of three pokes). After she was done, I picked him up and he was fine. That night he got a small fever and started to get fussy. I gave him some infant tylenol (side of his moth with dropper) and rocked him to sleep. He was perfectly fine the next day with no trouble.

    :( oh no, i would be so sad! my daughter hasn't had her 2 month shots yet but i'm scared! and i should prepare myself lol!

    DD screamed her head off during her 3 mon shots and I recorded it because DH wasn't able to make it. She went straight to sleep and was knocked out until we made it home. Then she was a fussy all night. Didn't develop a fever but wasn't eating and extremely cranky.

    I nursed her while she got the shot and she still screamed but I feel like she calmed down relatively quick. She did have a rough evening that night but I gave her Tylenol and it seemed to work. She had fussy days after that but I'm not sure if it was from the shots or the wonder week 8.
