Happy Friday! Plans for the weekend!

Happy Friday everyone! We have a lot of sick LOs lately - I guess that's a preview of the cold/flu season that is upon us! Speedy recovery to all the sick babies (and adults)! We haven't gotten any new mamas joining us lately, have we? Should we go over to PAIF to recruit?

T&Ps to those who need them, and GL to all who are TTCing.

What are your plans for the weekend? Is it feeling like Fall where you are?

QOTW: Anyone follows/cares about baseball here? How's your home team doing?

Happy Friday! T&P to all the sick ones out there. I (shockingly!) haven't posted much about E's current situation, but she has had a low grade fever and diarrhea for a week, plus a wicked diaper rash due to the diarrhea, and guess what? Freaking thrush... again. So she's been a GEM all week, let me tell ya. But she is finally started to do better. I hope all the other sick babes (and mamas) are getting better too.

I pulled the trigger and intro'd over on PAIF. And I totally plugged SAIF while I was at it.

We are going house hunting this weekend. With another on the way and my parents visiting so frequently (love it!) we just need more room. It's really hard though, because we can't seem to agree on an area to move to. (Any other H-town residents want to recommend their area?) We also have to bleach and sanitize everything we own that touches E's mouth or butt (which, let's be honest, with a baby is just about EVERYTHING!) Gotta love thrush.
It does not feel like fall at all here! It has been raining the last 24 hours, so that's sort of fallish, but it's also in the 90's, so not so fall.

QOTW: I used to love baseball, I was such a huge fan. But my 'stros have let me down so badly in the past few years, I've really quit watching. I hate to be a fairweather fan, but it's too hard to be heartbroken year after year.

Dang this is long. Can you tell I'm super bored at work? Who works on Fridays? This is bs.

Getting ready for the influx of relatives for the boys' bday and party next week!! I'm about to get my Pinterest on. I might sob at the party, so that should distract people from the poor craftsmanship of my paper lanterns.

Fall is in full swing with cooler weather, pumpkin anything, and apple picking! I'm not sure if the boys could handle a trip to the orchard, but we might try.

QOTW: DH is having serious sadness over the Nats' performance. He grew up in Houston and was a big Astros fan, so he's pretty used to disappointment!!

@Ruthie04 How can the boys be having a birthday!?!? I'm sure your paper lanterns will be awesome. Post pics when you can, and enjoy the party. It's a big deal!

Also, I didn't know YH was from here! And ouch, used to disappointment. Sad but true.

We are having 6(ish) month pictures taken today. It's an absolutely beautiful day here so I'm excited that we can have pictures taken outside:) No plans for the weekend. Maybe we can go apple picking tomorrow! It is starting to feel like fall and the leaves already have some color on them. I love the fall! It's so crisp and beautiful!!

We have my dads dog for the weekend and that brings the total to 4 dogs and 1 snotty baby;) luckily, A seems to be feeling ok still.

Nope, no baseball for us. DH is sort of interested in football, but that's about it.

@TJ1979, NO!!! Not thrush again! That totally sucks!

@Ruthie04, I can't believe your boys are turning 1!!! My goodness, where did the time go? Have a great time and we EXPECT pics and a full report!

This is going to be a chill weekend for us - no obligations - which translates to cleaning house and catching up on cooking. Our next FOUR weekends are totally booked, so I'm looking forward to a quiet weekend. Hope to make a batch of blueberry muffins, a batch of yeast dinner rolls, and some mint pesto. I'm always over-ambitious, so we'll see if I end up getting any of the above done.

QOTW: Used to be a bigger fan of the Red Sox (used to watch the games on TV), but got upset at them because the games were sold out months in advance and you basically can't go to a game without paying exorbitant prices from scalpers. Anyway, they had a bad season last year so the tickets have become less hot; but with a LO, we haven't gone to see a game. I think they'll make postseason this year?

@TJ979- I know! How can they be so old?! Please tell me year two is slower! I am determined to be a craft genius for their party. Not that they care, but I am determined!! Plus, I need something to distract me from the drama that is sure to occur from my mom and MIL staying with us for nearly one week!

And, I'm so sorry for E's thrush and tummy issues. Diaper rashes just seem like such a horrible thing for little babes. I can only imagine how bad it must hurt

DH grew up in Clear Lake and I was also born there, but grew up in Austin. Both of our families are still in TX, so we try to get back when we can. Unfortunately, it's been a long time. But, I'd do just about anything for some Taco C tortillas and queso.

Today is our anniversary but I don't think we'll be doing much. I told DH I don't care what we do but I'm definitely not cooking. We might just hang out at home with take out since we'll be away tomorrow. We have a wedding Saturday night and my mom will be coming to our house to watch DS. Sunday, nothing planned.

QOTW: Not big on the whole baseball thing.

No plans for me this weekend. Just a lot of cooking to do because my mom is coming into town for O's baptism next weekend so I need to make some freezer meals. DH is playing in a golf tournament so I'm solo during the day, but he'll be home at night for company.

QOTW: I love baseball but my Yankees are a bunch of old men that are all on the disabled list. I will be sad to see Mo retire at the end of the season though. I've met him a couple of times and he's a real stand up guy.

So cold around here!! This weekend we will just be never ending working on the house and going to a friends sat night for a bbq and sunday apple picking. But it's calling for rain so maybe have to reschedule the apple picking.

Happy Friday ladies! Now that our awful rain & flooding is subsiding we will be getting outside with the kiddos this weekend. Fall is in the air & I am ready for the cooler weather & change in clothing. QOTW: not a huge baseball fan BUT DH is top of his fantasy baseball league & with less than 2 weeks left he might actually win, my excitement is purely based on the nice windfall we would get with his winnings

now football on the other hand, I am super excited about that

Today I went shopping with my mom. Good times.

Tomorrow I have nothing planned, what a nice change from my always busy weeks.

Sunday we are going to a craft show. I'm really looking forward to it cuz I'm meeting a vendor who makes jewelry out of old silverware. I have DH's grandmother's silverware and I'm gonna have her make some heirloom prices for the women of the family for Christmas. Plus I also REALLY love craft shows!!

@robeano what a cute idea! There's a vendor here that makes jewelry out of old china. I LOVE it, but it's pretty pricey, and I don't think I have any family china on either side of my family. What a shame! I'd love to see pics of the finished jewelry!

Happy Friday!!!

My plans were to grade/catch up on work and relax but DH informed me his parents are coming tomorrow (HUGE eyeroll, not excited, actually more upset than anything). I guess work will happen Sunday instead of relaxing.

GTKY: More of a football fan here, but as baseball nears the end and gets exciting (to me anyway), we watch. We're Rangers fans.
