Wide footed ladies

Help me shoe shop? I need something for fall and winter to wear with jeans. It has to be versatile, comfortable, and not hideous. The cheaper, the better, preferably under $50. Arch support is a huge bonus since I overpronate (sp?). I'm not a fan of Toms. I had keds for several years, but would prefer something a little more stylish.

  • Lane Bryant carries shoes..and if you order online they will ship to a store close to you for free. I ordered a really cute pair of wide flats for $12

    Sweet, I didn't know that. I'm not that overweight, but I inherited super wide feet from my dad.

    I have always had big feet (9) and then after having kids, they have become 10W so it is pretty hard to find shoes!

  • My mom has super wide feet and she swears by Softspots. Not the cheapest, but a lot of the flats are in the $40-$50 range.
    ETA I have no fashion sense so I can't comment on style.

    Never heard of them; I'll check them out. Thanks!

    @Gwapes, I haven't looked there in a while. I should check again.

    Yikes, Gwapes. I'm worried for my kid that we'll have to do that. Everyone in my family has wide feet, and my sister has to special order WW ones for her son online.

    I have super wide feet and a really high instep. I can rarely find shoes that are truly comfortable. Suuuucks. I just checked zappos and all the cute ones are too expensive. That soft spot brand is outrageous too. And lane Bryant doesn't have any that I like right now. Blah.

  • Our FF closed down. :( Normally my instep is too high to add in the inserts. Maybe I'll just get some Ugg ripoffs and wear those all winter. :)

    Pregnancy sure jacks up your feet, that's for sure! Sounds like you've got it worse than me.
