Ok... So I say we do this Monday-Friday, (unless you all think the weekends would be good too). 
We have check in's on Wednesday, but we could also do the WTO Wednesday?  
Ideas: 
  • Weekly Check In (Must Continue, on Wednesdays by KC1212)
  • WTO
  • Get To Know You Day
  • 2WW (Who is in the 2WW)

    I LOVEEEE THIS IDEA!!!

     

    How about W2EW... "What too eat Wednesdays" !? Its the middle of the week and we can post our favorite recipes or something to get our mind off of the TTC stress...

    Im sure whatever you come up with will be great!! Im excited to see the board moving a little quicker :)

    But for the 2WW thingy I vote something like this

    Testing plans? (or estimated test date) assuming they don't test every day like I do LOL.

    I've been tempted for a recipe swap but didn't know if you ladies liked to cook or not??

    I like this: Two Week wait Tuesday (OR two week torture Thursday)
    I like check in on Wednesdays. It helps break up the week. We can do the WTO on that day too.  or come up with a different clever name and do the WTO on a Thursday. 
    Get to know you on Monday or Friday and do the recipe day on the other.  For the Recipe day do we post a bunch of recipes or just one for the week, and then the comments are the results of the dish?

    What a kid-related day in addition to the GTKY day?  The GTKY day can be about us, and then maybe we could have one about our kid/kids?  Something new, funny, exciting, frustrating, etc. they're up to to kind of incorporate the parenting aspect into the board in addition to the IF stuff?

    Good idea since we all have kids... The GTKY day could have two questions, or no limit and could include stuff about kids, OR we can do a different day about our kids, and just make a Recipe thread anytime someone tries something new? 
    This is great! I love this brainstorming business.

    Anyway- yes would love to incorporate the kiddo :)

    This is where I am: PLEASE let me know about moving stuff around or changing. I'm just throwing out ideas here. 
    Monday - ???? 
    Tuesday - 2WW Tuesdays (including symptom question and other)
    Wednesday - Weekly Check In
    Thursdays - WTO Thursdays (We should come up with a new clever name for this) 
    Fridays - GTKY (Including a question kid related.)

    Just stealing from other boards, I've seen Thankful Tuesday/Thursday (which could still obviously be flexible on the day) to put some focus on things that are going right in our lives or just things that we're always thankful for.  And I see First World Problems strings to talk about the silly non-problems we get upset about and perhaps laugh at ourselves a bit.  Or expanding the recipe idea (I'm not the cook in my household, so I wouldn't contribute much to that but would still be open to sharing meal ideas), we could just make it a weekly recommendations post where we recommend a recipe, a neat organization tip, a fun date-night idea, our favorite brand of shoes, our favorite type of mascara, etc. Now that I think about it, I just ventured from sharing recipes into the GTKY idea, so nix that idea but I'm not going to go back and delete it because maybe it will still trigger ideas for someone else. :)

    Maybe on the WTO (We need to come up with some clever for this)  or (2WW)we also add something for those of us doing medicated cycles, to discuss our symptoms from meds, to vent or see if others had certain symptoms.  Just thought of it now, because I am having crazy ones.  

    Keep the ideas coming ladies... we will keep this open for thoughts and then we can vote on it early next week.  PLEASE let me know if there is something strongly you feel we should have or not have.

    Love these ideas!!! I love bragging about my kid so I say that's a definite! I also love the recipe idea. I can't think of anything else. I'm so not creative...

    I really like this idea.  I know that I forget how lucky I am to have DS in the midst of all of this stress, and it would be good to consciously remind myself of that.

Are there anymore ideas out there?  Here is what I have come up with again, please throw out ideas suggestions!  (I will take no offense) This is our board and we can do whatever we want! Even if it is to have more than one thing a day!  What is in red is what I am having problems with... so please let the ideas, suggestions and wants fly!

    Love these ideas! Stealing from lurking on TTCAL...they have a Crazy Train thread which I think is great! Post all your crazy/obsessive whatever!

    Two DDs 10/08 and 08/10, no primary IF
    TTC #3 since 10/2011 - dx unexplained/weak ovulation
     3 BFN clomid + TI cycles, 5 BFN clomid/gonal f IUIs, 1 mmc IUI
    2/19/2014 IVF #1 Unexpected low E2 (oversuppressed) -> increased to max doses = 3 or 4 follicles, converting to IUI
    BFFP Saw 1 beautiful heartbeat at 6w6d, follow up u/s at 9w showed mmc. Eff this.
    NTNP 5/2014-9/2014, OPKs and TI 10/2014 - 1/2015. 
    RPL testing all normal, AFC, AMH, and FSH all normal. 
    IVF 1.2 1/22/2014 natural cycle start, AFC 28, 300 gonal f/150menopur. 
    ER 2/3/15 14R 8M 3F w/ICSI Day 5 transfer on 2/8/15 of one "Grade A+" blast and have TWO frosties!

    I love it! 

    I think we can do a combo WTO + Waiting to do something- for those waiting on treatment cycles, waiting for egg xfer, or egg retrieval for IVF, or waiting for IUI, etc. Because I think a lot of us are in treatment cycles now. 

    I'm down for a crazy train :P

    What if we do a pic share on the weekend- sat or sunday. We can share a pic of LOs or something that we have going on during the weekend, etc? That might be fun

    I just wanted to say that I love all the ideas for the check-ins and that I'm game for whatever! :)

    I think once it is all ironed out we will have to assign or volunteer who will write what check-ins. I don't care to take on another but, I can't handle more than two! Thinking up the questions is harder than it seems  @-) and I know I would get my wires crossed.

    So I'm merely suggesting we iron all that out during? after? the vote next week.

    And @freakyfast Kudos to you for coming up with the awesome ideas to get the board more involved!  =D>

    @kc1212 already have a plan for assignments I just wanna make sure our topics are solid. ;) I will post that as soon as everyone is good with this.
    And thank you very much for your kind words. I was doing a bit of stressing over titles. lol. Also if we feel a topic ain't working we can change it. Like I said its our board!!
