  At my appt (@ 16w1d) they just did a Doppler, checked urine and measured from pubic bone to top of the uterus. Does your doc do u/s's each visit? My doc only does one u/s (anatomy) at 20wks. At 17wks you could get an elective and have a good chance at determining sex.

  No they don't do them every time. gonna be hard to wait that next 3 weeks! Lol...

  I have an appointment at 17 weeks as well. It will just be a regular appointment; taking vitals, checking baby's heartbeat, etc. I will then get to schedule my a/s for 20 weeks to determine the sex of the baby. I'm assuming they didn't tell you when your a/s will be scheduled. If they didn't say something at the previous appointment about it you will probably be scheduled for it at a later time.

  I had my 16w appointment today. I'm 16w5d though so pretty close! They didn't so a physical exam at my first visit at 12 w because they wanted to make sure my insurance was good and kicked in (just effective a couple weeks at that point and my id number and all wasn't in the system yet) so they did that, urine and bp check, Doppler, and blood draw (which they had also saved from the 12w appt I think)

  Thanks everyone!! Too bad it probably won't be an u/s but it's still exciting every time I hear the heartbeat anyway:)
