Where did you go, friend?  I thought of you yesterday when I went to my doctor - same place as you, the Midwest Fertility Specialists.  I was hoping we could be Indy buddies and I was wondering where you are with your cycle now!  I saw Dr. Rueter.  She's putting me on Provera and then Clomid to get my ovaries going.  I, like you, didn't ovulate on my last cycle.  Annoying how those pee sticks tell you one thing, and then it doesn't work out in the end.

Anyway, come back to the boards!  Indiana is woefully under-represented!  :)

Re: ~*jspencer8216*~

  • I am around. Mostly lurking while I try not to freak myself out. My next IUI is tomorrow. I decided to try first response pee sticks and got my positive this morning. This time the positive wasn't out of the blue and went along with all of my other tracking methods. Mainly the app charting and the liquid goo phase. So oh my geez it might actually work

In other news my last name is now officially the same as my wife's! As of last Monday. So now out baby will have our last name.

    How has your journey been?
  • I understand about not wanting to freak yourself out.  I totally mind-effed myself this past 2 week wait.  I learned my lesson and that won't be happening again.  I gotta keep it together.  But I do feel a lot more confident moving forward.  Dr. Reuter said my last cycle was doomed from the start since everything happened waaaaaaay too early.  She was also really confused as to why my last doctor didn't put me on Clomid from the get-go since my cycles are so long and vary by a couple days each month.  I was never terribly confident with my first doctor from the start... should've gone with my gut.

Anyway, right now I'm just kind of waiting.  My sperm bank discovered a genetic issue with our first donor so we searched for (and found!) a new one.  He's even better than the first so I'm excited :) But I need to wait for the transfer to be completed, and then wait for the vial to ship to MFS and then I can start taking Provera.  I don't want to take it too soon because MFS said they wanted to do tests on the vials before the IUI and that could take up to 2 weeks, so I'd rather hold off on starting my period until I know I can time the IUI correctly.  So... benching it for about a week, and then I'll hop back on board with the meds and *hopefully* get my BFP ;)

Hey, exciting that you get your next IUI today!  I take it you're not doing a medicated cycle?  I'd do natural too, if I could, but my ol' bod isn't so cooperative.  Anyway, good luck!!!  Wishing you a peaceful, relaxed 2WW followed by a BFP!!!
