Visiting Galveston/Houston Area... Fun things to do with 14 month old?

Hello Ladies,
We're visiting Galveston / Houston area in the first week of October. What are the must do's while we're there? We're a family of 3. Our baby is a walking 14 month old. Are there any children's amusement parks? Or other must do's?
I saw that the children's museum of Houston is pretty cool. Aside from that, what else is there to do?
