Newborn Gas

For those with outside LOs, how gassy is your baby??

DD2 is extremely gassy. DH says that DD1 was the same way (although I don't remember her being as bad as DD2 is) and DD1 had colic and MPSI. DD2 has gas all day long. And its soooo stinky!! I didn't BF DD1 so I don't know how the foods I eat can affect LO. Thoughts??

    We have a rootin-tootin baby here! It's normal.

    Edit: there was an article I read at 4am about it but I can't find it now.

    My son is really gassy. Try holding him more vertically when you are BFing. Then it should be easier to burp your lo.

    Yes that's what I'm wondering too!! I need to do some research on which foods make baby gassy. DD2 didn't seem bothered by the gas until two nights ago. Now she cries when she farts - not all the time but enough that I'm wondering if it bothers her.

    Little man is only two days old, but he enjoys a good fart or 6. Within the first hour he burped and farted several times. He must gab his dad's digestion system.

    Our baby girl is super stinky too...She usually smiles after she toots - just like her daddy.
    She does burp well but seems to spit up a lot. Pediatrician said they weren't worried about it, however I noticed after eating marinara sauce she spit up a lot more (but doesn't seem to be in pain at all).

    This little girl farts like a truck driver!  s o much so she woke herself the other day...and it smells pretty bad for such a small baby;)

    My LO toots a lot too. It doesn't seem to bother her though. Yesterday she had a huge one that smelled like a grown mans chili fart.

    So glad to read this. I didn't breastfeed with ds1 so this is all new to me. Ds2 is a gassy mess and he usually has a squirty loud poop mid-feed.
    Maybe tmi, but is anyone experiencing more gas post pregnancy? I am a stinky mess too and I swear I haven't been eating a lot or gassy type foods. Hmmm...

    I'm no more gassy than normal :-D but DH might say that I'm comparable to LO!
