  • As stupid as I think this is (because she could've Googled 50-million alleged ways to naturally induce labor), I'm probably going to be that girl at 40 weeks doing everything to get baby to come out. With us moving internationally just a few weeks later, she is not allowed to come late! Lol.
  • My doc told me to start having sex from here on in.. he said I could jump on the couch, clean the whole house, go for all sorts of long walks but nothing compares to sex for starting contractions. lol

  • @feenstas It's just the idea that... "I turned 40 weeks today! The baby should be arriving any second now!!!!" ..mentality that drives me fucking insane.

How are there still pregnant women that scientifically believe this?

Something like 5% of women give birth on their EDD. An EDD is just that. Estimated.

Oh, no, I totally get that. :) It usually drives me nuts, too. Due dates can be off by weeks, especially if you didn't have early dating ultrasounds or if your cycle was even a little abnormal.
  • One of my friends older brothers (born late 60s) was 6 weeks overdue. That woman was pregnant as long as a horse, and they never induced.

:-O Oh my lanta. They say that humans were originally pregnant for 12+ months, and that pregnancies have gradually gotten shorter. Not sure if I buy it, but if it's true... wow.
