OUAC score! (Rusalka)

So I took some of DD's toys to Once Upon a Child - namely, the battery operated monstrosities and her jumperoo, which she hates anyway - and am so pleased with what I managed to pick up for her to play with instead. I got a starter wooden train set (seriously, this thing is practically brand new and I am so delighted), Peek-a-Blocks, Roll-a-Rounds, a soft book about the circus that comes with little velcro people, and some of those plastic connector blocks with all of the teeth. I am excited to start rotating her toys... though of course now I want to play with everything.

  • I LOVE Once Upon a Child! A few months ago, the one near us had all infant clothes 10 for $10...I got sooo much stuff, basically completed all of DD's fall/winter wardrobe!
That is awesome! Ours never has deals like that on clothes, but DD gets a lot of hand-me-downs, so we're usually okay. Of course right now she's so small I'm not sure she'll fit in the winter stuff we have for her!

Hmmm okay that's kind of far. Is it worth an hour 1/2 each way as a day trip? How good are we talking here?
I guess that depends on what you need.  If you are looking for inexpensive winter stuff, sleepwear etc. for the kids, then I would say HECK YES!, but not sure I would make a trip that far for say just toys or just to look see. A lot of the stuff is very high quality, and I've found several with tags still attached.
This for sure. If you're in need of bigger ticket items, especially if they're clothes, then yes. This was an especially good trip for us, sometimes their toys are just not in the greatest shape (and I'm super picky, given it's mostly a battery operated graveyard most times). But I've gotten some great clothes there and with winter right around the corner, snow gear for three kiddos might be worth it!

  • Those sound like some great toys. I need to get creative for Jackson for his birthday and Christmas. He has one musical toy that he can "play" drums, guitar and I swear he's making songs... He sings along other than that he likes remotes, phones and water bottles

  • That's awesome! We have OUAC out here, too. I'll actually be going there today to get Ben a high chair and some stuff to keep at his grandma's house.
