"Baby centers" LOL

We had an employee appreciation event last week and our CEO spoke about things they're doing to improve work/life balance, etc.  He said "...things like....baby...centers.  Centers?  OMG, what are they called?! ha!"  Someone kindly told him they're daycares and he laughed at himself that his kids are older so he's out of touch.  It was funny but man, it was just a littttle awkward the way it showed the possible difference in the day to day realities of men v women and higher ups v "regular" workers.   I did chuckle though because he was obviously embarrassed lol

    Haha. Glad he didn't address pumping rooms/nurture rooms or whatever term your company might use for nursing moms to pump. That could have made him blush :)

    How old can he be that they didn't call them daycares when his kids were little?  Or is he old enough that his wife stayed home because that was the norm and daycares really weren't available?

    LOL neither.  He's fairly young!  He was obviously having a brain fart moment and was just saying he's far removed from the daycare age.  But still lol
