3rd Trimester

What helps ease your nauseasness? I'm desperate.

Anything but ginger or ginger ale, I can't stand that stuff.

  • I went to an accupunctrist once a week and it worked wonders. I also drank a peppermint that helped ease the nausea in between appointments.

  • Crackers and Sprite helped during the first few weeks, then I tried the B-Natal lozenges from BRU.  After realizing it wasn't going away and since I wanted to be able to function everyday, I got a prescription for Zofran.

  • I couldn't stand a lot of the classic ideas of how to deal with nausea. Oranges are good, wives tail I herd from the lady across the street, I'd eat a couple of pieces if orange wait a couple of minutes for it to settle, then I could eat something a bit more substantial! Didn't always work though, I ended up in hospital and was given some drugs to take before meals, id dropped down to 48kg from 55kg and hadn't kept anything down in two days, not even water. No shame in asking for something from the OB, strange thing is, it doesn't always take away the nausea, just stops you from bringing food back up!
  • My doctor had me take 1/2 tab of unisom and 25 mg of B6 2x per day and that is all that worked for me. But I wouldn't do that without talking to your doctor first.

  • I tried EVERYTHING when I had morning sickness: ginger ale, ginger chews, ginger candy, saltine crackers....smelling oranges.....nothing really and truly helped. I had to get a prescription for Zofran and it helped tremendously.  The only downside of it was that it gave me absolutely splitting headaches.....so I had to weigh that against being nauseous.
  • chewing ice
    popsicles
    nibbling on crackers

I have Zofran too. I don't have headaches, like a PP though. It helps, but I still get nauseous.

  • I have had it bad all pregnancy, go to your local drug store and ask for preggy pops they will do wonders for you.
  • I would suggest talking to your Dr.about a prescription. I was on Zofran until recently and it worked wonders. I also invested in Preggy Pops. They have helped in those times between doses or refills. Peppermint tea and sour gummy bears have also helped.

    Good luck!
