For me, I'm really excited for B to meet his little brother or sister. I also can't wait for that first skin to skin contact moment and counting all those little fingers and toes.
I am excited, because I remember the hospital has good food, and it tastes extra good after I just pushed out a baby. LOL I am also excited for how soft the baby's cheeks are when it first comes out and how fuzzy their little heads are.
Seeing what this little one looks like. My DD and DS looked so much alike when they were born, if I put their newborn pictures together you'd think they were twins.
~Missed MC at 8 weeks. D&C at 12 weeks on 4/17/13~
I'm just looking forward to seeing my lo for the first time. I'm getting emotional just thinking about it. But holding him or her for the first time with my dh next to me is going to be a moment I never forget.
Birth. It was such a profound moment in my life when my son was born and they put him on my chest. This little person who I already knew so intimately but didn't really know at all and that first moment seeing him. It's too much to describe. I once heard someone say, "You could feel God in the room" and it's true. So I'm most looking forward to experiencing that moment again.
I can't wait for my cats to see their first baby. My female cat, despite being spayed, has a deep maternal instinct (she gets very upset when she hears kitten or puppy cries on tv) and I can't wait to see how she is.
@kendramiroslaw Aw!!! My male cat does this! He'll run all over the house looking for the kitten. Its so cute. Sometimes we're mean and play a kitten video on our phones and hide them under a couch or blanket and just watch him go crazy.
I am also excited to see what the baby looks like. Will it look like me? DH? Both?
It's mind blowing to see what your child looks like especially after the newborn phase when their features really start coming out. DD still takes my breath away.
I am also excited to go through the milestones again. It's awesome to watch them grow
Having a newborn. Being able to hold my baby right away. And being able to hold my baby not hooked up to wires and machines. My son did not come home till he was 10 weeks old and even then he came home withdrawling from meds.

This would be mine. With DS, I didn't get any skin to skin contact for almost 8 hours after he was born due to some blood sugar issues. I am hoping I will be able to have it right away this time around.
Also, DS is so excited about the baby, I will be excited to see his reaction!
Seeing DH with the baby. He has said multiple times besides marrying me he has wanted nothing more in life than to have a baby. When I saw him hold our nephew for the first time I sobbed. I can't imagine what it will be like with our own child.
I can't wait to walk (or wheel) out of those hospital doors with our tater tot. That's something which, unfortunately, we were never able to do with our first; he passed away after an 8 day NICU stay. My doctors are wonderful and we're already taking lots of precautions to prevent those problems this time around, but I know I won't be able to breathe easy until we get the okay to take our new LO home. I daydream about that moment.
I'm also looking forward to those first cries (I'm sure they'll grow old quick, lol, but that will be another first for us), holding and feeding and cuddling and all those other fantastically wonderful things.
I'm even kinda psyched about the fact that because I'll be staying home, the only poopie diapers I have to change from now on will be MY child's. I've always worked in childcare, so diapers and spit-up and toddler tantrums and all those other fun things are par for the course...and as "worth it" as those things are with other people's children, I imagine it'll be ten times more "worth it" for my own .
I am excited to see how DD is as a big sister. I really think she will love the "helping" part, but will not love the "mama is holding someone else all the time" part.
I'm excited to see what this LO looks like and what his or her personality is like in comparison to DD.
And I am so excited for later on to see how our two kids interact and play together.
Damn. All of mine involve DD, too. Poor second child!
