Feeling the burn...

So along with the other wonderful symptoms of pregnancy - nausea, constipation, breakouts (all I will gladly take because I am thrilled to be pregnant!) - heartburn has hit hard! I don't remember having heartburn in the first trimester the first time around with DD. Hopefully this is normal! Anyways, does anyone know how many Rolaids I can take daily? I can email my RE, but I feel kind of foolish bugging her with that question :) thank you!

7/2013 - IUI #1: 50 units Follistim +  Ovidrel  = BFN
8/2013 - IUI #2: 50 units Follistim +  Ovidrel  = BFP! Beta #1 (12 dpiui) 8/21: 45  Beta #2 (16 dpiui) 8/26: 301 Beta #3 (21 dpiui) 8/30: 1,929. 1st Ultrasound 9/4 - One perfect sac. 2nd Ultrasound 9/13 - Heartbeat at 124 bpm! Anniversary

    Not sure about Rolaids but I take two TUMS before bed ... And sometimes two after lunch and that seems to work good. I think as long as you dot take more than six/day it's ok

    NTNP 2009-2012         TTC since 2012:
    • Clomid, 2 IUI cycles, and 5 IVF cycles = BFN
    • FET #1   August 2013 = BFP!     EDD 5/11/14

    • Severe Pre-e /HELLP set in Jack born sleeping at 20w1d on 12/23/13
    • FET #2 --July 2014  BFP!  ---  EDD  4/5/15

    Tums stopped working for me so I moved on to Rolaids :)

    I had heard some where that tums was 10/day. If the Rolaids don't work you can take Zantac up to 150mg/day. And if that still doesn't cut it your ob can give you a rx for nexium. My reflux is so bad it's making me vomit so I'm on nexium.

    Hi MJC.  I was told not to take rolaids during my last pregnancy.  I think it has something to do with the sodium or something?  I ended up alternating monthly between pepcid and zantac.  I think it's worth a call or email to your RE on this one.
    TTC with PCOS since November 2009
    IUI#1 Femara/Ovidrel (cd 3-7) = BFP, m/c
    IUI#2 Femara/Ovidrel (cd 5-9) = BFN
    IUI#3 Femara/Ovidrel (cd 3-7) = BFP!
    beta #1 11/23 = 270, P4 = 75
    beta #2 11/28 = 2055
    Our daughter E was born 7/29/2012!
    Surprise, our 2nd daughter P was born 5/22/14!

    Hmmm... oh no! Thanks for the tip. For my first pregnancy, my OB said it was fine, but I will definitely ask RE at my appointment. Thanks!

    I googled and the answers seem all over the place.  My store doesn't even sell rolaids anymore.  I thought that was quite odd.

    My husband just told me that they pulled Rolaids from shelves between 2011 and just now. I guess they just re-stocked them. I had no idea until a few days ago. Supposedly there were bits of plastic inside of the bottles? I can't remember but it was something like that. Anyways, I breathed a sigh of relief because I was pregnant in 2009, so I think I missed it... :)  But thanks for the heads up! I won't take any until I confirm it's okay with RE. (Or get something stronger!)
