GD Ladies, do you remember your results?

For the one-hour glucose test I got a 142. My doctor's cutoff was 140, so I went in for the three-hour the next day.

These are my results:
Fasting: 100. I failed that one.
One-Hour: 150. Passed.
Two-Hour: 148. Passed.
Three-Hour: 137. They said I failed. I go in to see the diabetic specialist tomorrow for more information, get my blood testing kit, etc...
However, ever since then I've been looking at every diabetic website I could find, and every single one says the three-hour should at least be below 140. Every single one!
I'm curious, what was your doctor's cut-off for the third-hour level? Was it 140, or did they make it 135 or 130? What were your levels for that last one?

  • I'm interested to see the responses for this. I go in for my 3-hour tomorrow. My screening result was 174....

  • I couldn't even continue taking the three hour when I didn't pass the fasting . Im surprised they let you take the test after 100.

  • I actually just tossed this info yesterday! I do remember that my one hour was 134 but my office uses a cutoff of 130. When I took the 3 hour, I failed the 1st and 2nd hour - I believe my 3rd hour was back down to 116 so I of no help to you there.

  • I had to copy and paste the above- those are the ranges used to compare the readings. My last two readings were above the cut-off this time and with my daughter. Although my doctor/health system makes a GD diagnosis if there are 2 or more readings outside of range,  I believe the American Diabetic Association is stricter (they might recommend diagnosing GDM when just one reading is above the norm).
