  • 1. How often do you wash?
    Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday

    2. Do you line dry or toss in the dryer?
Dryer for everything except my BB covers.  MH dries them, I line dry them.

    3. Fold and put away or leave it in the basket?
Honestly, half the time I use them straight out of the dryer.  Or fold them and leave them on the coffee table in the living room and use them from there.  We are pretty busy.  Lazy, busy, same difference.

    2. Do you line dry or toss in the dryer? Prefolds & inserts get dried in the dryer, everything else is line dried.
    3. Fold and put away or leave it in the basket? During the week everything gets tossed into these plastic bins in G's room.  I fold and put away on the weekends.

  • 1. How often do you wash?
They get washed when the wet bags fill up.  It could be every other day or every day and a half.

    2. Do you line dry or toss in the dryer?
All covers are line-dried.  I'm afraid to sun the diapers outside now due to the many spiders infesting my yard.  I usually dry everything else on low (still damp) then pull the PUL and dry everything else on medium.

    3. Fold and put away or leave it in the basket?
They usually hang on the drying rack until they are used, but I prestuffed them last night!

  • @littkek yuck about the spiders. I would probably be leery too if I knew we had a lot if spiders.

@unaveragejane yep! Definitely need a new baby!

  • 1. I wash every other morning.
    2. Everything goes in the dryer.  I have no shame.
    3. I always stuff/fold and put away. I feel like I would hate CDing if I had to stuff a diaper before every change.
  • I usually wash every day or every other day. I try to wash every day because when I was doing EOD I would forget and go for three or fours days without. Whoops. The one downfall of having way too many diapers for one baby is that you don't have many moments of running low to inspire a load of laundry.

Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste,
    It all revolves around you.
  • I wash every third day usually, every other day if I've been using any microfiber but I use prefolds 95 percent of the time or more. I need to pick up some fitteds for ON. Once I do that I'll probably switch to EOD.
I hang anything with PUL and put prefolds in the dryer on medium.
I usually just separate stuff out and shove it into separate drawers. AIO's, Pockets, and inserts in one drawer, wipes in one drawer, and prefolds in another.
  • 1. Daily.  Twins = double the diapers = pail fills more quickly.

    2. Wipes and Inserts go straight into the dryer 100% of the time.  AIOs go straight into the dryer most of the time, unless I get a chance to sun them.. but even then they get touched up in the dryer.  Pockets and Covers get "line" dried 99.9 of the time. (I occasionally miss a pocket and it gets tossed into the dryer.)

    3. Always fold.  When I am a SAHM they get put away.  I am temporarily back to work for a few weeks, (Two weeks notice already given... woot) so they've been left in the laundry basket folded and pre-stuffed for the time being.  NBD.

  • 1. I wash every other day or every 3rd day.

    2. I dry my inserts, prefolds, and fitteds in the dryer. My covers, AIOs, and shells hang dry.

    3. No baskets. I grab a pile and fling on my bed for stuffing.

  • I wash EOD - so the day that falls on changes every week.

I toss all the prefolds and inserts in the dryer, but I line dry my covers/pockets.  When we move and get a proper yard, I'll probably line dry more on the weekends to sun out some of the stains in my prefolds ;-)

I mostly like to fold and put away.  They might sit in the dryer all day while I'm at work from the previous night's laundry, but they get folded and put up within a day or so.

  • I wash daily.  Usually put them in the wash on my way to bed.

Anything that needs stain removal goes straight to the clothes line for sunning.  The rest of the stuff gets a short tumble with wool balls, then to the clothesline to finish up in the sun.

I love to fold diaper laundry, maybe because we use fitteds and it's like a really fluffy matching game to find the right soaker for each diaper.  Changing table is right in the living room, so everything gets put away.
The word you're looking for is SEX.  I promise.  No, it's not gender.  It's sex.  You're welcome.
  • I wash every other morning.

Lately, because I want to get them all washed, dried and put away in one day, I've been throwing everything into the dryer.  I love our clothesline, but when I need to get to work, I just can't bother.  Ugh, that's so lazy!

I love folding diaper laundry.  By the time everything's dry (okay, H does hang dry stuff if it's nice and sunny.  We've been chilly and overcast lately, though) I bring the basket up to bed and stuff them while bumping and relaxing in bed after the day.  It's usually dark, and the velcro tabs have woken M up a few times so I don't do the tabs anymore.

  • I wash every third day. Everything in dryer. I stuff, food and put away whenever I have the time.

Question, what's the deal with drying PUL? Does it break it down? I use 90% pockets and tumble dry the shells. Also, someone said something about washing microfiber more often. Is that due to stink?

It can cause the PUL to delaminate in some cases. It can also shorten the life of the elastic, so it's better to dry on low heat if you do out them in the dryer, but best is to air dry.

I just wash all willy nilly like. Sometimes it's EOD, sometime daily. I have no track of which day I previously washed was. All that's important to me is clean diapers!

We are using BGEs so they do take forever to dry. So my diaper laundry kind of overlaps. I wash, hang dry AIOs and put prefolds in the dryer (our burp cloths). The AIOs are usually still hanging when I start the next load and almost out of diapers.. So I throw those in the dryer to finish drying and soften up. Fold put away or directly into daycare bag.

So I perpetually have diapers hang drying. I can sun on Wednesdays or the weekend if time permits. And then I still finish drying those in the dryer.

We reuse our wetbags some... Since daycare bags each diaper separately. So that helps out on washing / hang drying time on those.

For the diaper pail. A trick I've learned is once the washer is empty dump out the water collected in the pail liner and run back on the spin cycle! Works like a charm and line drys so much faster!!

That's a good idea for wetbags and pail liners.

  • We wash daily.
Line dry pockets, inserts go in dryer.
I stuff and put away on the 3rd day so we are sure they are dry.

We have about 40 pockets and he goes through 12 to 15 a day. We always have extra prestuffed ones hanging out in our regular diaper bag and the daycare diaper bag.
  • 1. How often do you wash?
I just wash when the pail gets full. Sometimes that's every other day, sometimes every 3rd, just depends on her.
    2. Do you line dry or toss in the dryer?
Only if the weather cooperates with me. Otherwise I toss in the dryer on low heat.
     3. Fold and put away or leave it in the basket?
Typically yes, I'll stuff and put away the night they are dry; I'll do it while I watch TV as she's sleeping. There have been lazy times though where I just take from the basket for a day before I find time where I feel like doing it.
