I'm trying to put together a budget to decide if I can afford to quit my job when the twins are born. I have to make a decision pretty soon, and I'm starting to freak out. My problem is that I have no idea how to budget for a baby (much less two), mostly because I have no idea what I need. I'm not concerned about toys and clothes and stuff; I am assuming that diapers and formula will be my two biggest recurring expenses. (I have already decided that I will try to breastfeed but due to some medical and other logistical issues, I think the babies will be heavily supplemented with formula). But how do I know how MANY diapers and how MUCH formula I'll need for two babies per month? Can anyone tell me, or point me to any reputable sources? I'm so sick of looking at random internet sites...I can't tell which ones are trustworthy anymore!
Re: What do I need?!
For formula, like pp said they won't need a ton in the beginning but my boys drank (each) 32-36 oz/day of formula for a good chunk of the first year.
