Are you shopping ahead for maternity clothes?

I still have a fair amount of maternity clothes left over from my first pregnancy and trying my hardest to stay fit this time around so who knows when I will REALLY need to breakout the maternity clothes. Having said that, the GAP cardholder 40% off sale ends today, and I want to buy some pants/jeans but I keep telling myself, I won't know what size I will need when I really need them. Are you buying any maternity clothes yet or you waiting until you really need them?

I got a couple pairs of pants from Old Navy when they had 25% off. They are really the only thing I need, I didn't change sizes with #1 other than my belly, and many of my pants don't fit because I lost weight between pregnancies. They are just sitting in the pile with all my maternity clothes from last time, I'll wash it all soon.

I am actually in the same situation too, I started this pregnancy about 8lbs less when I was pregnant the first time, so a lot of my old clothes don't fit right..

I will only buy clothes as a need them. I am going to try to make due with what I have from the first pregnancy which isn't a lot. There will more sales in the future.

Yes because I basically already need some. I have a lot from last time but needed some new jeans/pants. And some of the sales have been too good to pass up.

I'm not buying anything unless I need them down the line. Last pregnancy I bought some jeans, dresses and tops and ended up no wearing them because they were too big. I wore my regular clothes because my regular clothes aren't really too tight and my tops are kind of roomy so they just stretched with my stomach. I ended up giving those maternity clothes away. We'll see what happens this time.

I have been refraining from buying any maternity clothes, only because I wear mostly dresses at work with plenty of wiggle room (teacher), so I don't really need anything right now. My mother, however, is a completely different story.... This is her first grandchild and she has been buying TONS of stuff for me! I'd say I have around two weeks worth of outfits already. NOT complaining!

My friend and I are the same size normally, she just had a baby in February. I am borrowing her maternity clothes, so I doubt I'll be purchasing many outfits, myself

I'll wait til I get closer to needing maternity clothes. With DS I got away with a lot of my summer dresses and only had to buy a few shorts and some tops. I don't think I'll be able to get away with it this time around. I've already been looking online at maternity clothes and I'm excited H&M has a small selection you can order online now!

I'm stuck in between....the weather here (NJ) is changing and I need new fall clothes, preggo or not. Do I buy a few "regular" things for now, or do I dive right in to maternity? I've been wearing the same 4 outfits on a rotation basically, haha

I am keeping my eye out for a good sale on maternity coats, but other than that, I plan to use a lot of what I already had. I had lent a good portion of my pants to a friend who is due in October, and since I haven't told her I'll be needing those back sooner rather than later, I may buy a pair of pants to hold me over until then.

Good sales are good sales, though...buy things on sale when you can! Also, never underestimate a good garage sale...

I have picked up a few clearance things. We are starting over from scratch!! I sold/gave everything away!!! I have zilch clothes or baby items. Eeek. Oh, I take that back. I have a pack-n-play left. Other than that…nothing!

For anyone in the south( I'm in tampa) we have The Salvation Army (thrift store- google it) every Wednesday they do 50% off all clothing. I've been stocking up on gently used items for around $3 and under. I found 3 pairs of GAP Maternity Jeans in my size for $3 a piece

just an idea if you can find one in your area. Plus yard sales are great Gems, but hey I'm a thrifty kinda of person.

I have a good bit that I saved from DS that I plan to use if I need them, however he was born in February so the bulk of my "later in pregnancy" maternity clothes are winter styles and I don't know that they will work for an end of May baby in Georgia where it gets hot in like March. But, I shouldn't need anything new until much later so I'm not buying anything.

I'm in maternity pants already

I have a bunch of stuff from the first time, but we are in adifferent part of the country much colder this time so I will probably get a few things to get thru winter as well as a coat that actually buttons instead of just dealing with my prepregnancy coat. However I am 20 lbs heavier than last time to start so hopefully hat I have will fit in the end.

No, I'm waiting until I need it. I have a few things left from my first pregnancy, and I got by with a belly band for most of it. I'm not sure if I'll need winter or spring clothes, so I'm waiting for now.

I'm hoping I can last at least til 12 weeks before I even start looking at maternity clothes! I was really bloated weeks 4 and 5, but I started watching what I was eating, working out and packing my lunch (no more eating out unless its the weekend) and I've been able to button my pants again.

Try shopping on Zulily! Awesome deals! I got work slacks for $18 and shirts for $8! If you want to shop there leave me your email and then if you order I get a bonus. They have nursing clothes/bras too.
I always stock up. My mom was buying me stuff for a hope chest before I even went to college. It's just how I was raised

I think I'm gonna try and hold out as long as possible. All my clothes still fit fine and I'm a nurse so I wear scrubs most of the time which is pretty awesome since they are comfy and will grow with my body! Hoping I can just pull off some leggings during winter. Shouldn't be too cold here since I live in Louisiana.

I got some stuff a couple weeks ago when ON had 30% maternity then another 20% off of your total purchase. I was due in July last time so I have lots of spring and summer, but no cold weather clothes so I got a few sweaters and some basics. It is easier to shop for maternity clothes now than the first time because I know what styles I like and how different brands fit.

I've decided to try and hold out until after my 2nd scan (12wks 3 days). I already have a pair of mat jeans from last time, so i'll bust them out if I need to. Otherwise i'll just wait until I get paid at the end of oct.

I swear this is me too! The bloat it killing me. I can last till about 4:00 pm, but by the time I get home I HAVE to put on sweatpants or I am just dying.

I've been looking online on Pinterest and stuff but I think I'm going to hold off on buying any until I actually NEED them. With my last pregnancy I could still wear my regular jeans for a long time. I didn't keep any of my old maternity clothes but I'm sure I'll need them in a few months! Shopping will be fun though!

I scored some great deals at Burlington Coat Factory and Ross, so yes, I'm already shopping. Plus I'm in maternity clothes today, mainly because they're ridiculously comfortable.

My boyfriend has been buying me dresses every week but it is nothing you would really wear for pregnancy and we just found out we are expecting so even though he loves me in dresses I am going to cover up and hiding mode. I dont want others to know just yet and we have not told the other kids yet. But I have maternity clothing from other pregnancies.
