We are moving to a new and larger house next week. Now that we will have the room should I get LO a jumper or a walker? She is a very active baby and will be 4mo on Oct 5th.
If you mean a walker that baby pushes while walking behind it, I would get one of those. I would not get the other sort although they are illegal here so I couldn't anyway. Look second hand or for sales and get both.
We have both. I took a trip down the stairs in my walker when I was little, so I agree that walkers may not be the best option for those with accessible stairs, but our house is fine.
We're using the jumper until C gets a little more control, and then we'll move him to the walker. He's generally not satisfied when he's confined to one spot!
We really love our exersaucer and have used it with both boys. They seem to bounce in it too as they get bigger and the toys keep him entertained. They use jumpers at daycare, however both of my boys have liked the exersaucers better.

I am thinking of getting a Johnny Jump Up or walker this time for DS2..since he seems to really have the hang of things already.
