So... somehow in the last six years I've managed to lose C's social security card. We also have never had E's corrected after the hospital disaster (The hospital sent his birth information out to EVERYONE with his name spelled wrong after I spelled it right! They told me they would resubmit the paperwork for no cost since it was their error, but I've never received any new information.) I also need to have MY name changed on my SS card. I am hoping to knock out all three at once.
I have E's misspelled card, and my marriage license to take care of ours. I have C's number because any time I need it for something (Daycare, school, etc) I just copy it out of my Tax Returns, and they just keep copying the number from the previous year's tax returns. Does anyone know what else I need to bring to get new SS cards for the kids? Is just their Birth Certificate enough?
I hate dealing with our SS office! The employees there are down right nasty because they get nothing but crap all day long from miserable, obnoxious, mooching people who have nothing better to do with their lives but work the system and steal every last penny they can. I worked with them in my previous job so I know what its like, we had the same clients. That said, these employees are just miserable to everyone! I want to get it over with in one trip so I don't have to go back down there a dozen times...
Like I have trying to get my driver's license renewed (But that's a different frustration.)
