Okay, we will be taking DD (15 months) with us to find an apartment in our new city. It will be her first time sleeping away from home and first time in a hotel. I have some questions that are probably really dumb:
What does your LO sleep in? Do you bring a pack and play? I just feel like the bottom of the pack and play is so hard. I feel like it will be uncomfortable. Do hotels provide cribs? Have you used them?
What do you do about WCM? I am assuming alot of restaurants don't have it. Do you just make sure to get a hotel with a fridge and buy some? Any other suggestions about foods? I am a little worried about making sure that we can get stuff DD will eat that will still be healthy even though we aren't at home. I feel like maybe this won't be as difficult as I think and I am worrying too much about it. I am sure she won't eat quite at healthy and well rounded as at home but I don't want everything to go out the window, you know?
Any other tips for our first hotel stay/road trip?
Re: Questions about LOs and travelling/hotels
My kids had the Baby Bjorn travel crib, not a PNP, but I can't imagine the mattress was any softer. They always did fine. I never got a hotel crib, I didn't trust them.
Usually restaurants have 1 or 2% milk and I give that to DD.

I've also never used a hotel crib for DS. Up until he was around a year we just took his PNP with us and he would sleep in there. After that he didn't sleep that good in it, can't blame the kid the boards are soo hard and I am sure uncomfortable. So now when we travel he sleeps in bed with me.
What!? Me? Over worry?! Never!
The hotels that we stay at always have a continental breakfast and they have always had whole milk. They have always been really good at getting me some milk for the kids prior to bed also. You could get a suite with a fridge also - a half gallon can usually fit well in the mini fridges. I have bought the Horizon milk boxes on long road trips since they don't need to be refrigerated.

I also just purchased a portable booster seat for the same trip and also if we're going to a friend's house during mealtime.
