Toddler with cradle cap

Anyone have any remedies or is this something that will keep coming back? She had it bad as a baby and it's back again. She has super thick hair, so you really can't see it, but it's starting to itch her.

  • Make sure you're getting all the soap out of their hair too.  Sometimes it can simply be soap build-up.

My daughter had it on and off as a toddler.  I would just soap her up then use my fingers to massage and gently loosen the "scabs". And sometimes I'd use a comb in the shower to help get those plaques off.  Then rinse really, really well.

  • Try avocado, vitamin e and coconut oil mask. I use this on my sisters hair and it helps her.

Head and shoulders. We have the same problem. Just is hard to keep it out of their eyes. Leave it on for like 10 minutes and then rinse.

    Sounds delicious ;)

    Smells delish too!
  • DS has this too. The doctor recommended Selson Blue. It seems to be helping though as much as I try, it always gets in his eyes.
  • When we dealt with it the ped recommended head and shoulders, watch the eyes. It seemed to work.
