Kaiser in Ontario

Hi there,

I'm not pregnant yet (had a miscarriage in October) but am trying to plan ahead, so I hope you don't mind me asking this here: Are any of you going to the Ontario Kaiser hopsital and if so, would you please recommend your OB?  Thanks!

I'm currently at Baldwin Park but Ontario is closer :-)

Re: Kaiser in Ontario

  • I loved my original Ob, Dr. atilano. My co-worker recently got pregnant and has her too, but she didn't like her too much. The sad thing is, I have only seen her 3 times. She either has a lot of patients or she's just really unavailable. I have seen a PA assistant named Carly (loved her!) and another dr whom I believe they have switched me to. I have only seen her once, but let's just say I felt very rushed when she saw me and left feeling very confused. I see her again in a few weeks so we'll see.

  • Dr. Chan is awesome!  I had an appt. with her and had a list of questions/concerns.  She went through each one of them with me.  I wish I could have her, but they were kind enough to schedule me with my regular OB (finally)!.

  • I normally go to Kaiser Fontana but have been to the Ontario Medical Center and love it. Just found out I'm pregnant with our second and unfortunately when I called Kaiser they said they will no longer take new patients at Ontario unless you live in that area. Basically, if there is another Kaiser closer to you that is where you have to go. I was dissapointed.

  • Hello! I just got married this year and switched toy husband's insurance with kaiser. He was registered with the one in fontana but i requested to switch to ontario since it's new and pretty. They were able to transfer our files with no problem. We live in fontana btw.

I'm not pregnant but we're planning to try in january. I have a preconception appt next week at the ontario location so i'll be meeting with my obgyn for a checkup.

  • The Ontario Kaiser does not assign you one OB. depending on your appointment and when you deliver whichever OB or Midwife will treat you. They all work together, im not sure how they called it. Ive seen both an OB and a Midwife during my pregnancy and i loved them both. But yeah you wont see just ONE OB or ONE Midwife.

    hope this helps.

  • On kaiser's website, they allow you to choose your ob or doc so i hope she is the one that i'll be seeing regularly. I guess i'll find out...
