Thank you so much to all of the beautiful ladies who kept me calm and distracted last night as I fretted about my appointment this morning.
Everything is great! I haven't gained any weight, my blood pressure is (surprisingly) good, and my uterus is measuring slightly ahead. Baby scared us at first - even the doctor looked concerned, and just as she was about to stop checking with the doppler, we heard the loud "whoosh whoosh whoosh". She was starting to measure the baby's heart rate when we heard a scuffle as the baby moved away from the doppler. My husband got to the appointment late, so our doctor took the doppler out again, and still the baby moves too much for her to calculate the beats per minute. I'm totally okay with not knowing his/her heart rate because of all the activity - we know his/her heart is beating, and that makes us happy. Now we're looking forward to our NT scan in the next couple of weeks, which is being scheduled sometime today or tomorrow.
I can breathe again.

I thought the woosh was the placenta? Agh! I'm having a hard time waiting to hear the HB for the first time next week (12w apt) and sometimes I try with the home doppler, but since I don't know what to listen for I'm having a hard time. YouTube videos made it seem like the woosh was placenta and that the HB was a train? I'm so confusedddddddd
