  I always take it off.  This is a lot of the reason it NEVER gets made.  I am kind of wishing for a less fancy one that I could just sleep under so that it's my blanket/comforter.

  Leave it on. Ours is more of a quilt so its not big and bulky and just cotton so super esay to wash

  We leave it on. It's a down comforter with a duvet cover on it that gets washed from time to time & the comforter gets taken to the dry cleaners about once every 3 months or so. We used it all seasons.  We have a bottom sheet, top sheet then the comforter.

  This is exactly us as well.  I try to sleep under the duvet, but my DH will get hot, steal the covers when I get up to nurse the baby, and then sleep on top of it.  That is when he gets kicked.
