I find it so crazy that so many of you aren't allowed to have baths!! Boo I had a vaginal birth (I want to always say natural but I feel like people might think I went med free and I totally didn't- those rock stars should get all the credit! ) anyway- my nurse had me in the tub/sitz baths from day 1...and my discharge papers said to have a bath everyday for the first while to aid the stitches in healing
@ThompsonHM2 I didnt give birth until 39 hours after my water broke, so I was at a higher risk of infection But really I'm not sure I wouldve had time for too many baths these first several weeks so its all good
@Butternut87 unfortunately he replied with "lol". it was worth a shot.
@M0ON I can't even imagine- I hope your DH watches the babe and you can have a long relaxing bath!! Sadly the only ones I had were in the first few weeks- immediately after LO ate for about 10 minutes because it was stated I should on the discharge papers. Someday I will have an hour long bath again.....
I bring his rnp in bathroom I soak in hot water until it cools then I bring him in with me and wash him. I set him back in rnp with towel covering rnp and his towel wrapped around him. Then I shower off quickly washing hair etc. I have to be creative since DH is away lots.
So jealous. We don't have a tub. DH bought a house without a tub - this was before we were dating. Stupid boy.
You poor thing, you went through pregnancy with no baths? I hope you can upgrade someday soon
This was 50% of the reason we bought a house 3 months after moving to Northern Virginia. I NEED a bath tub. Its like not optional. When we're looking at houses now to move into in a couple of years I won't consider it if I don't see a separate soaking tub in the master suite (I currently use the tub in the guest bathroom upstairs - the master bath in our townhome is shower only).
Two baths during my pregnancy - when we visited my parents who live four hours away. It was almost a deal breaker when I moved in with him, especially since my house ( which we currently rent out) had an old fashion soaking tub.
Re: aw: midwife gave me the all clear
Enjoy!
