So on the weekends we have been having a horrible time getting our LO to nap for longer than 30-45 mins. I have gotten him to take maybe one 2 hour nap one time and thats about it. No matter what we did..let him cry, talk in his crib, get him asleep and then put him in this crib or even just let him be in his swing hed still wake up after that long. He goes to bed at night on his own with very little crying and has been sleeping through the night...sometimes hell wake up once around 330 eat and go back to bed on his own. At daycare, she writes his naps down and he always takes a 2-3 hour nap and then another at least 1 hour nap. I finally was like I am just going to ask her how she gets him to sleep. They arent at the same times everyday either which kinda bothers me bc I would like him to be more in a routine so I could follow those times on weekends too.
Her response to me kinda made me worried/mad. She was like well do you really want to know? Shes like I am suppose to only let him sleep in a pack and play with no blankets etc but I can only get him to sleep swaddled and then in a bouncer with the vibration going... No wonder why he hates napping at home! AHH! I know she needs to get him to nap but I dont really want him to need to be swaddled for naps etc. Id like him to be able to sleep in his crib unswaddled.. Do you think I should bring it up again or reverse what Im doing and start swaddling him for naps at home? It just seems at five months you should kinda be past the swaddling esp if he doesn't need this at night.
