I don't know whether you mean you placed a baby fir adoption previously and are now facing IF or if you are parenting a bio child and have IF, but neither should be a road block to adoption. You may face a longer wait if you are parenting a bio kid, but not always.
Ditto Gnome. It sounds like you had a child, couldn't parent at the time, and made an adoption plan. Now you are in the position to parent a child and you're facing IF. I don't see how that would be a problem, and would put you in a unique position WRT e-parents
I agree with the above two posters. If anything, I think it would give you a unique way of understanding what the expectant mother may be feeling/dealing throughout the process and beyond.
