Monthly Box?

So last month I signed up for citrus lane....and I am very disappointed. There was a book, toy, lotion, body soap and nail polish (super ugly color at that). I love the theory of a box a month of fun age appropriate items. But after what I received today and looking at past boxes on the site I just do not feel they are for us. Ben has super sensitive skin and lotions and soaps are not for us... So please anyone that participates in these monthly box clubs please let me know your likes/dislikes! We cloth diaper so if it is a co. That sometimes has those I am ok with that. I have a large stash (60+ diapers) so. Do not want a diaper a month. Thanks :)

Re: Monthly Box?

  • I think CL is a racket, too. I was able to get 6 months at half price behind coupons and referral credits, but once that's done, I have zero intent to extend the subscription. Not even close to worth $22+ per box.

  • CL is okay, I understand the point that it is a surprise and not everything I get is going to be useful specifically to me. However, once I loose all my referrals and the price goes up I'll probably discontinue it (which will probably be next month). I'd rather just buy him a specific $25 toy I want for him once a month!

    Henry Cavill...You're welcome!

  • I have a couple I do for myself that i review on in my blog, but I tried citrus lane and bluum and wasn't too impressed. There are more I'd like to try out eventually. I read this blog and she has a full list of all monthly boxes out there. You can scroll though to the baby/kids. https://www.ramblingsofasuburbanmom.com/monthly-subscription-box-list/

  • I do bluum, though once i get enough points for my free box i think I will cancel it, they become expensive. I have also tried citrus lane and stork stack. Citrus Lane is only 4 items per box, so I dont know that its worth it. but something I hate everything in my bluum box.

  • That stinks,we got our first box and I liked the stuff. I got a pretty color nail polish though. I'm nervous for next months now though. I'm sure I'll end up cancelling especially once I have to start paying full price
