I said yes, but according to my husband (who grew up in a snow belt) what we get in southern Ohio doesn't really count as snow. We typically get multiple 1-4" snowfalls during the winter, but anything less than a foot doesn't count according to him.
I agree with your H, Dayton gets nothing! I also grew up in the snow belt.

I used to like snow until two winters ago when the snow was above the top of our swingset. Every weekend was a blizzard so we couldn't go anywhere. At this point I think I could live without ever seeing snow again.
Count me in on "Less than 6 inches isn't shit" group. I laugh when 2 inches shuts down roads in some states
I get the sentiment, but these types of statements frustrate me. In states that don't have snow or freezes, there is NO infrastructure in place to manage it. We don't salt roads, have appropriate tires, or have any experience of learning to drive in (or even recognize) those conditions.
We had a freeze last winter that shut Houston down for a day. There was no snow involved, but in 1 24-hr period there were over 800 wrecks in the city. It _absolutely_ makes sense to shut down the roads when that's the alternative. I felt lucky that I have a company with safety as it's top priority and I had already been given permission to work from home that day.
Re: Have you seen snow
Living in Canada there are 2 seasons: construction and winter.

Even a minor event in the life of a child is an event of that child's world and thus a world event.
