@cmargolius So close! Let's keep each other in mind after the babies are born! I don't really have any family up here or people close to me with kids. I can always use mom friends!
Hey MsHeztel! sorry took me so long to reply but wanted to say that I would live to meet up in the near future. I'm due nov 20th so still super busy getting ready. I tried to PM you but I'm not that savy.... How long have you been in Franklin?
Hopkinton mom just had mine on 9/13 and loving life! If anyone interested in prenatal yoga I am teaching again starting end of October for a session at absolute yoga.
How far along do you have to be for prenatal yoga? I'm 6w2d and NEED to get back into yoga but was wondering if I should focus on prenatal classes and not reg yoga class
Klisenby12- at 6 weeks you should be ok for either prenatal or regular yoga. You can still do most things early on just be careful with twists and avoid prolonged holding breath. Prenatal will be more gentle but many regular classes are gentle if you look for them. Prenatal is great to connect with other moms to be, vent on what your experiencing, and learn skills to use during labor and throughout pregnancy. No matter what avoid heated classes. Docs always recommend that. My class is on Thursdays 7:15-8:15 pm and session starts at absolute yoga on oct 24th
Thank you for the feedback... I have noticed that some stretching is definitely not as "comfortable" as it was before.. so I was a little concerned about reg poses etc...I would love to get into your class, however on Thursdays I work until 8pm. Checking out your site, the only one I could possibly make would be the Wed at 430pm. So hopefully I will see you and connect with some local moms/moms to be there! Thanks again for the info
Judy teaches on Wednesdays and is great! Another fab place is destination maternity on route 9 in natick. They have a bunch Of free classes . Best of luck klisenby12 with your pregnancy and let me know if u gave any questions! I delivered at newton wellesley and had a great experience.
Also, where are you ladies planning on delivering? I'm in the process of choosing a hospital and then an OBGYN. Can anyone share experiences at Brigham and Women at Patriot Place or at Norwood?
I am delivering at Brigham and go to OBGYN at Patriot Place. With my first child, I delivered at Mass General and went to Mass General West in Waltham for OBGYN. I was very happy with that experience, but we moved and it just wasn't feasible for me to drive to Waltham for appointments. The Patriot Place facility is fine; I'm not wild about it. Because it's a satellite facility, they don't seem to have any nurses there, just medical assistants. At MG, the nurses spent a lot of time with you and answered a lot of your questions. At Patriot Place, it's really in and out and if you have questions, you e-mail nurses over Patient Gateway or call the office in Chestnut Hill. You can do your ultrasounds at Patriot Place, but they don't have the 3-D ultrasound that Mass General had. The ultrsound techs have been a bit brusque. It doesn't bother me that much since it's my second child, but for my first, I'd want a bit more hand-holding I think. I really wish I could deliver at MG, but I know Brigham is a good hospital and know lots of people who have happily delivered there.
