Well after a two night stay in the hospital I was finally released today and LO appears to be just fine. My BP has been right around 140/90 so was put on modified bed rest. I had to be monitored for the 24 hour urine test to check for protein and preeclampsia. I saw so many different doctors and nurses while I was there it was a bit overwhelming and now trying to remember everything they told me! Protein levels came back at 155...which the resident doctor said would be considered mild preeclampsia, severe would be over 300. Well then my regular doctor came and released me saying that level is nothing to be too concerned about and just put me on BR. It was also mentioned inducing by 37 weeks due to the high BP/ possible mild preE. While I was getting checked in triage they also said I was 70% effaced, -3, and just a finger tip dilated. Ahh just trying to make sense of it all! Anyway kind of just a vent/ what do all these numbers mean/ looking for someone experiencing something similar!
Re: L&D Update...(high BP)
@slh363 I check at home too and am supposed to call anything over 160 systolic or 105 diastolic... those are MY numbers because I run 140-150's over 90s
and normal protein in 24 hrs for a pregnant woman is 150-300
over 300 is mild pre e
over 5,000 is severe pre e

Well before today it was 140/90. Now, I dont know because they sent me home with it being at least that at the last check. Since my problem is my diastolic number, and its been consistently in the 90s lately, I will probably call if it goes into 100s.
Hang in there and try not to get overwhelmed. Just listen to your dr and try to relax the best you can!
