Hcg level drop with twins

Hello,

I found out I was preg on 8/6/13. Had my first ultrasound on 8/26/13. We saw one yolk sac no fetal poles. Went back for 2nd u/s on 9/9/13 and we saw 2 yolk sacs in 1 gestation sac. Identical twins how exciting! I was sent for hcg test on 9/10/13 and it was 125,875 but my levels today 9/12/13 dropped to 117,676. Now its another waiting game I am not scheduled for another u/s until Monday. I am freaking out. Is there still hope?

    I am sorry I have already suffered 1 miscarriage. I feel for anyone who has suffered this loss. It took us a year to get pregnant. This pregnancy is most likely a miscarriage as well. So this is a discussion about a possible miscarriage. I am hoping to get a reply from someone with a similar situation.

    I am sorry to hear about your previous loss. I agree with @ktlovess that this is not the appropriate board for this question. None of us here are currently pregnant. I suggest posting this question to Pregnant after a Loss (PgAL). I hope you get some answers soon. I'm sure this is a very difficult time for you.

    ETA: If you do (unfortunately) find yourself with another loss, know that we are here for you. Post an intro with your story so we can get to know you.

    Unfortunately it was a total loss. Both twins were dissolved but for some reason the gestational sac is continuing to grow as if it is still containing the twins. I am scheduled for the d&c tomorrow. Very upset after a year of trying then to find out it was identical twins. Doctor said to allow 2 month before starting to try again.

    i'm sorry for your loss :( i'm currently going through my second miscarriage as well (this one naturally, the first was a d&c)... hope you recover well from your d&c and emotionally from this traumatic loss <hugs>

    I'm so sorry for your losses. I lost triplets last month. I hope the D&C goes well.

    BFP#2 7/3/13.  U/S at 6w4d showed 1 heartbeat at 127 bmp and 2 empty sacs.  MMC discovered at 10w4d.  D&C 8/27/13.  Pathology showed normal boy.  Missing our babies every day.
    BFP#3 10/29/13!  Beta#1 at 4w5d - 2141, beta#2 at 5w1d - 7651!  U/S 11/21/13 showed baby measuring 2 days ahead with a heartbeat of 127 bmp!
