The pb poll made me wonder where you store your ketchup.

Re: Another poll, ketchup

  • We keep ours in the fridge, the package says to keep refrigerated. My mom has always kept hers in the cupboard and it never seemed to go bad.

  • Fridge though I think it would be fine in the pantry. I just prefer cold ketchup.

  • Don't you have to refrigerate after opening?

  • Before its opened it goes in the pantry and after it's opened it goes in there fridge.
  • Fridge. I know the sugar content is high enough for it to keep in the pantry, but it's force of habit... and I like it cold!

I'm going to own it. I'm a wild child and keep my ketchup in the pantry. Cold ketchup is beyond gross and I won't eat it.
    You're just backwards. It's ok, though :)

    Fridge. Cupboard ketchup is icky.

  • Fridge! I didn't know keeping it warm was an option. Ew.

  • Both?  I put the bottle we are using in the fridge, but buy a bulk can that I separate into jars after I open the can and I keep those in the pantry.  I just clean and re-fill the bottle once the bottle is empty - but then it goes in the fridge so it's cold for use.

  • Fridge, always did. My ILs have always stored theirs in the cabinet and never had it go bad. We buy organic, not sure if that means it would go bad faster.
