Sorry to blow up the board but, this is just craziness...

I think I must just ooze the LH hormone.

On CD19 I got a positive digital ovulation test but, a negative line one.

On CD21 I got two positive line tests and two negative line tests. ( I took a First response brand and a clearblue brand both in the morning and then the evening.)

At this point I'm just thinking that I've caught my LH surge on the tail end.

Saturday (CD 22) I thought it was game over and the 2WW had commenced.

Today (CD 23) I thought I saw (TMI) the all elusive EWCM so I took two more tests (same sample) and they are both no-doubt positive. Like the test lines are darker than the control line.

What the crap??? What is wrong with me? This has NEVER happened. Perhaps it would be prudent for my sanity to stop taking ovulation tests but, I'm just so afraid I've either missed my window or WILL miss my window...

Does anyone have any insight on this? My chart is zero help. It is just as confusing it as everything else it seems.

I wonder if the acupuncture is throwing me further out of whack? Or the herbs? Should I email my acupuncturist? Or the president of the united states?

GAH! Has anyone experienced this kind of thing with OPKs before?
Maybe I should go buy ten different brands?

Sorry to blow up the board with my whacky non-maybe-ovulation problems but, I'm royally confused.

(and they other night I tried to get my DH to help me analyze pee sticks and he made me throw them in the TRASH) :(

    I swear I read somewhere where your body can gear up to ovulate (i.e. produce LH) then not actually ovulate and then keep trying & repeating this pattern several times throughout your cycle. Maybe that's what's happening? Just a complete shot in the dark though! I don't think it would hurt to ask your acupuncturist. Good luck!!

    Thanks! Maybe! I have been sick for the past week and half and I'm sure that's not doing my cycle any favors.

    I had that same issue. I would get 5-6 days of no doubt positive OPKs. I tried to talk to the nurse and RE about it, and they basically implied I wasn't doing the OPKs right (even though I know I was). Once I got a false positive on a digital but the line one was clearly negative.

    I basically quit using them after day one of a clear surge. I was convinced I wasn't ovulating properly. But whatever was going on, I was able to get pregnant. So hopefully, whatever it is, it isn't impacting you negatively. It's just frustrating not knowing when O is taking place!

    Me: 42. DH: 46.

    1st Pregnancy: MC, 11/19/00.

    2nd Pregnancy: DS born 04/10/06.

    3rd Pregnancy: CP, 03/11.

    4th Pregnancy: MMC, D&C 11/30/11, Genetic testing revealed Trisomy 4.

    5th Pregnancy: Ectopic, 2 doses of Methotrexate unsuccessful, surgery 4/10/12, right tube removed.

    Tried Letrozole January 2013-July 2013 (including 2 IUIs), all BFN.  After 2 1/2 years of trying for child #2, decided to "give up" after July cycle, based on AMA.

    August 16, 2013:  BFP our first month of "not trying!"  Still in shock.  Beta #1 (14dpo): 183.  Beta #2 (17dpo):  611.  Ultrasound 8/30/13: baby measured 6 weeks, 1 day, heart rate of 118 bpm! 
    Ultrasound 9/13/13:  8 weeks, heart rate of 176!
    Baby is due 4/26/14

    Exactly!! Yet another thing my RE did that was annoying!

    Doing good so far! Although vacuuming is making me cramp, so I'm going to lay down for a bit! I posted an update on the thread that freakyfast started, where she was checking in MJC and I. It is still REALLY surreal to me.

    Me: 42. DH: 46.

    I hear your frustration! I had the same experience this month, when I thought I had O'd one week, then saw the EWCM the next week. What I think happened in my case was that the OPK I used (Clear Blue Easy ADVANCED Digital monitor) tests for both estrogen and LH. So you can get a false positive, IMO. I am sticking with the Clear Blue Easy Digital monitor for PM, which just tests for LH; plus the Wondofos for a second AM check. Good luck!

    Thanks ladies! I FINALLY O'd. Is it weird that I cramp for about 10 to 15 minutes really sharp during? And my temp jumped this morning, too. So this is the real deal (finally).

    One more day of BD-ing and then I'm in the 2WW.

    I'm so happy for O that I'm almost happy to be in the 2WW.

    Yay for O! Now here's to a fast 2ww with a happy ending :)

    Two DDs 10/08 and 08/10, no primary IF
    TTC #3 since 10/2011 - dx unexplained/weak ovulation
     3 BFN clomid + TI cycles, 5 BFN clomid/gonal f IUIs, 1 mmc IUI
    2/19/2014 IVF #1 Unexpected low E2 (oversuppressed) -> increased to max doses = 3 or 4 follicles, converting to IUI
    BFFP Saw 1 beautiful heartbeat at 6w6d, follow up u/s at 9w showed mmc. Eff this.
    NTNP 5/2014-9/2014, OPKs and TI 10/2014 - 1/2015. 
    RPL testing all normal, AFC, AMH, and FSH all normal. 
    IVF 1.2 1/22/2014 natural cycle start, AFC 28, 300 gonal f/150menopur. 
    ER 2/3/15 14R 8M 3F w/ICSI Day 5 transfer on 2/8/15 of one "Grade A+" blast and have TWO frosties!

    Classic case of dramatic ovaries.  At least that's what i call it when you gear up to O and then don't, but then do a couple days later.  Drama drama drama... lol.

    Dramatic ovaries! LOL!

    I was so annoyed! I've always felt like my plumbing was "regular". Guess I was living in denial. haha!

    I'm confidant it will straighten out. I mean my son is 20 months old and then I BF for 6 months and I didn't get a period the entire time. Plus this month I've had the cold that never ends.

    Everything is different post baby thought @KC1212.  I had no issues getting pregnant with my DS, always had "regular cycles".  I gave birth and BFed for 11 months with an over supply, got my period at 12w pp and it was hasn't been right (hence my SIF now - DS is 19 months).  So just keep an eye on things, just because you did something a certain way pre-baby doesn't mean it'll be the same post-baby.  Give your body a break :)  stress doesn't help!

    @KC1212 the cramps are totally normal.  I have them frequently. Last cycle it was so bad it made sex hurt. My body likes to punish me ALOT with cramps.


    BFP #1 ended in MMC. Discovered Oct 2005 @10w5d, baby stopped growing around 6w. D&C.
    BFP#2 Nov 2005. Baby's heart stopped @ 8w3d. D&C Jan 2006. Trisomy 18
    BFP#3 Nov 2006. My "miracle baby" DD born 7/25/07
    BFP #4 11/6/12. EDD 7/16/13~my birthday! No sac found @ 5w1d, betas not increasing. Natural m/c started 11/20/12.

    BFP#5 11/9/13.  EDD 7/21/14  Our beautiful rainbow born on his due date!!
