More emotional?

So i'm not sure if it's just because I had a baby 3 months ago but lately i've felt so emotional.  Like I heard that someone had a baby that didn't make it and I'm a mess about it.  Is this just all a part of me being a mommy or maybe i'm just getting older?  I certainly don't like it!  I can cry at the drop of a hat now!  I'm hoping it will go away :)

Re: More emotional?

  • I did not just have a baby, but I can say that ANY time I hear about something negative happening to kids, I completely lose it. It is so easy for me to think of my child in that situation, and it kills me!

this, but also, i was more emotional for 6 months after both of my births.
  • I think most parents are more emotional/sensitive about negative stories happening to children. Even my DH who is a super "tough guy" and rarely emotional about anything will turn off news stories or even TV shows that have something bad happening to kids.

But I was definitely much more emotional / cried very easily for quite a few months after each of my births.

  • I was a basketcase after I had J for at least 4 or 5 months.  Still, if I hear anything related to children being harmed/sick I will tear up.  I was never a crier before babies!
