Can someone please educate me?

When can you stop the baby dancing?

I'm so confused. Everything I read seems conflicting.

I got a positive OPK (a real one) day before yesterday. And here I am over 24 hrs after and I'm still experiencing EWCM. Is it not game over yet? I didn't think the egg was even alive right now. I figured it backed its bags and left sometime last night.

I don't think our timing is right.

Jan. 16 2014 Left tube removed and D&C
March 2, 2014 First AF

    Wish I had an answer for you! I believe when we did TI my RE said bd every other day until you get the positive OPK, then every day for 3 days (was it 2?). 

    Two DDs 10/08 and 08/10, no primary IF
    TTC #3 since 10/2011 - dx unexplained/weak ovulation
     3 BFN clomid + TI cycles, 5 BFN clomid/gonal f IUIs, 1 mmc IUI
    2/19/2014 IVF #1 Unexpected low E2 (oversuppressed) -> increased to max doses = 3 or 4 follicles, converting to IUI
    BFFP Saw 1 beautiful heartbeat at 6w6d, follow up u/s at 9w showed mmc. Eff this.
    NTNP 5/2014-9/2014, OPKs and TI 10/2014 - 1/2015. 
    RPL testing all normal, AFC, AMH, and FSH all normal. 
    IVF 1.2 1/22/2014 natural cycle start, AFC 28, 300 gonal f/150menopur. 
    ER 2/3/15 14R 8M 3F w/ICSI Day 5 transfer on 2/8/15 of one "Grade A+" blast and have TWO frosties!

    Once you get a +OPK you will ovulate within 12-48 hours LATER.  So you might have caught your surge at the beginning, which means two days later, you might be ovulating right now.  That's why CM is great to track. If you're still having EWCM (so jealous, I don't get that) then take advantage, listen to your body and do it!  The EWCM helps get those sperm where they need to be, so definitely use it to your advantage.

    I don't normally get the good mucus! This is the first month and I think it might be the acupuncture-yay :)

    Hmmm... Easier said than done, but I would try to mattress mambo every other day.  Sperm lives for awhile on the inside.  So if you do it every other day sperm would be consistently given the chance. Maybe?  I don't know. That's the only baby dancing advice I got this morning.

    Well since ya'll know all the personal details about my reproductive cycle anyway...

    We did the dance with no pants Sunday so hopefully those suckers are attacking the egg now. Guess we will mattress mambo tonight too.

    I have a feeling we are stopping the baby dance too soon in past months!

    @KC1212 ... isn't it weird that we know SOO much about each other yet not? 

    I will say when I did get pregnant in March, they day I got the positive on the OPK we did it that day and I did get pregnant. 

    It might be possible you are stopping too soon.  I would at least try to do it every other day.

    When in doubt, hump it out!

    I used to get EWCM after O before I had DS, so I would stop once the OPK turned negative and my temperature stayed elevated for a couple of days.  These days I just wait for EWCM to end and my temp to rise since I stopped spending money on OPKs.

    November 2010 - 10.5 week loss  o:) 
    October 2011 - DS (7)  <3 
    July 2014 - Stillborn DD (24 weeks)  o:) 
    August 2015 - DD (3)  <3 
    April 2018 - 5 week loss o:)

    @KC1212 The egg can only live for 24 hours after O. If you have confirmed O then no need to continue BDing.  By confirmed O, I don't mean one temp spike, I mean raised temp for 3 days in a row.  And it is also possible to have fertile CM after O as well. If you have not yet confirmed O, keep banging it out!

    I am still charting but gave up trying to understand it. I think my temps are on the rise? But FF still isn't saying I O'd and my temps are not significantly higher than the rest...

    So I will just "bang it out" (LMAO) to e safe.

    @KC1212 do you have a link to your chart? FF will not give you CH until you have 3 days of rising temps.

    @KC1212 Geez, it's been so long that I can't remember. On FF there is something that gives you the html code or link to put in your siggy.  I would keep HIO.  You may have O'd on CD 23, but since you haven't confirmed yet I would keep temping and humping.
