DDs prospective preschool for next year. How ridiculous is that? I went to three places, and the one that was recommended to me interviews parents to admit (or not) the child. In the other two I have to pay enrollment this month to secure our spot for next March. One wanted to know what DH and I did for living... Isn't that strange, too?
Well, the interview is Wednesday at 8:15 am. I'll try to convince DH to go with me so that it doesn't get too awkward for me.
What made me happy (but embarassed) was the fact that DD ran inside the classrooms when we were doing the tours. One class was having snack time and they had to invite her yogurt and cereal because she was asking the other students to give her a little :S
Re: I'm being interviewed by...
Obviously they can afford it, but that's not the point. I'm sure knowing what the parents do for a living gives them an idea of how much value the family puts on education. I'm sure it also doesn't hurt, since a lot of private schools rely somewhat on donors, which tend to be students' family or the family of alumni.
