My one month old has hardly burped up after feeding but he always has gas any thoughts on this or helpful burping tips? We are both thinking that since he isn't burping up his tummy is still telling him he is hungry even though he isn't
Some babies dont burp much. Is he arching his back and crying? Is he spitting up a lot? Or does he just pass gas?
You can try putting him on your shoulder and patting his back. You can run your hand up his back. Sit him up and bounce him slightly. Bend him over your knee and pat his back...
You can also try Gripe Water or Mylicon. They help with babies whi have trouble with gas.

Try giving your LO a firm belly massage before you move him to your shoulder, and then rub his back in a circular motion before patting him. My son had trouble burping but that seems to help!
Wanted to second the pp - we had the same issue with DS and pedi said attempt to burp for a minute or so but if nothing comes out don't worry because some babies (especially nursing ones) just don't burp all that often.
At two month we still have very few burps but use all the techniques above as well as laying baby on left side and bicycle kicks for gas.
I read in Happiest Baby on the Block to bounce LO up and down on knee before patting on back, that they would be like a can of soda- bubbles come to top. 3 out of 4 times she burps while bouncing before I even need to pay her on the back. Good luck!

Thank you all for the help @CelticWife he does arch his back and cry... He doesn't spit up much but does pass a lot of gas.. Is that a problem you had?
DD doesn't burp that well on the shoulder with patting her back. Sitting her straight up and bouncing her gently on my knees working like a charm though. Our pedi also said sitting her up straight and rolling her in a circle (while still sitting upright) was the best way.
