Monster Feet!

I have surpassed cankles at this point. SO MUCH SWELLING! Since our apartment burnt down last Tuesday, I had to take a couple days off to get some things done. Meaning I had to switch shifts with someone else. So I just finished day 4 of 6 work days in a row doing hair. And we're shopping just about every night after work to replace things. Today we got into the old apartment bright and early and tried to see what was salvageable. Basically, I spent 15 hours on my feet today and I've never seen them so swollen. Nothing is helping and I'm desperate! I'm starting to feel like Kim Kardashian and lets be honest...no one wants that.

Re: Monster Feet!

  • I take a bath in Epsom salt to help my swelling when it gets bad.

  • I'm with you. I look like I have Fred Flintstone feet. And my fingers are so swollen they look like little sausages. Gross. I haven't tried Epsom salt but probably should. I just make sure to put my feet up for a couple hours at the end of the day and that helps.
  • I am having the same problem. I am starting to worry about how big my foot is.
  • This was my foot after I tried to elevate it on the bench at the college football game I went to Saturday. Lovely two inch dent from the back of the bench., don't you think!

  • Elevate, soak in cold water, drink even more water, and maybe get compression socks?

  • Compression socks have made a HUGE difference for me. They're not exactly sexy but they get the job done. I also try to elevate as much as I can, and sometimes put ice packs on them and rub them (or get DH to rub them!) in the evenings.
