Finding out the sex early!

My husband is leaving this Sunday for a while (he is Navy) and we wanted to (hopefully) find out the gender of the baby before he left, so luckily I found an elective ultrasound center to do a gender reveal at 15w3d! Has anyone else had success with a sonogram a little earlier than 16 weeks? I know a few people who have, but just wanted to get to know some of the board members here who already know

I was told to drink something sugary beforehand so baby will be up and moving, so I will use that as an excuse to have some fruit punch! ;-) I can't wait! I hope baby cooperates!! We want to know if it's a she or he!

I found out my son was a boy at 15 weeks but, I didn't trust it until a confirmation at 23 weeks.

I found out at 14w5d with my first and at 15w2d with my second. Both were right.

My SIL had an ultrasound at 15w, which said it was a girl, and at 20w, discovered it was a boy.

I was able to find out at 14 weeks,but it was thru the para normal blood test. It only took a week to get the results

I had an ultrasound at 15 weeks due to unexplained spotting. The tech waited patiently for a good position, but we couldn't see anything-looked like a cabbage patch kid!

I found out in my 14th week. you dont want your baby moving too much though. Mine is a wiggle worm and it made it hard to tell cause it was squirming

I was just 16 weeks when I found out the sex of my twin boys, I have the anatomy scan on the 3rd so hoping to be confirmed them. (by the ultrasound it really looks like two boys but we'll see)

I was told it was a girl at 15w 4d and then told boy at 19 weeks,confirmed boy again at 21 weeks. Ill never go early again.I hate to rain on your parade, just wanted to share since I never thought that would happen to me and it did:(Im out about a hundred bucks on shipping fees for item I had to return and about another hundred on bows,tutus,and girly outfits from ETSY that cannot be returned. I didnt question it cz I was SURE it was a girl and I was right with the last two (both boys).

Hope you have no surprises like we did.

I was told boy at my NT scan and the baby was a girl at the 20 week. next time I will wait.

The day that I found out I was 16 weeks, I scheduled to go in and find out because I really wanted to know to plan....I wanted to know to set a name to this baby, to find clothes that I thought would match her personality, and to build that dang ole nursery!!! it was 15 minute session, and yes...It's a GIRL!!!!!

I found out DS2 was a boy at 14 weeks. It was pretty obvious. I'm not sure I'd trust it if they said girl at that point though.

Dr. told me there is no certainty until 20 weeks. Although, there is a new DNA test called the Panorama that also does gender that can be done 11-18 weeks. Supposedly, pretty accurate. At this point though you are already 15 weeks and it would take 2 weeks to get results. Might as well wait until the 20 week ultrasound before I'd paint anything

I found out at 15w1d with my daughter that it was a girl and it was accurate. Im going in an hour for an early gender u/s and im 15w2d.

Except both a female and male have extruding parts that early. So if I was told boy, I wouldn't hold my breath.

I agree my baby girl looked like a boy at 14 weeks therefore I was told I was having a boy and at the a/s it was def a girl.

I found out yesterday 15w2d its another girl! Its clear as day, my tech is confident as am I!

I had the Panorama free cell DNA test at 12 weeks so we were told at 14 weeks that it's a girl. It's pretty accurate, but it's not 100%. We'll find out in a few weeks if it's right or not!

Except this test is to test for chromosomal abnormalities. Those are no joke & it's pretty jacked up to recommend testing just to find out the sex early. It might be a perk, but having it done for funsies is not advised.

Also, genetic results are iron clad. The sex won't change. Please review your biology. Oy.
