  Thank you all! Apparently I had some scar tissue from a surgery years ago and that is what was stopping me from dilating. I got the epidural and am MUCH more comfortable. As a FTM I have never had an epi before...it is so odd to have a tingly feeling in both legs! I am just glad I can be comfortable enough to sleep. I have not slept more than 30 minutes at a time since Friday. I know I will need the rest in order to push our son out. I am so excited for our son to share a birthday with @kimberlymacrae and @SweetPeaK26! Good luck ladies!

  Thank you ladies! I love that I am able to share this with you all, especially because we have only told our parents. I learned that it is best not to let everyone know we are in the hospital until our son arrives.

  Holy shit. We're going to be having babies!!! No full moon for us I am a little jealous you're already comfortable. I am up with earth shaking contractions every 11 min. ELEVEN? Grrrr. Rest up!!! Keep us updated!

  Yay for us! This is the day that is worth all the pain! I have to say getting the epidural was seriously the best thing for me. I needed to relax and sleep. I told the nurse before I was even admitted that I wanted an epi. Don't worry about the 11 minutes. My contractions were about 2 minutes long, but would come anywhere from 3 to 9 minutes. It was stressful. You got this! You're going to hold your baby soon enough.

  I told my husband to tell the nurses after 4 weeks of false labor I want the full menu of pain management. Appetizer soup main course desert the whole shebang.
  I agree is totally all worth it. I'm just really nervous for the next 24 hours. But we got this!

  It that I have progressed a lot, but so far I have to tell you it's a walk in the park. You are going to feel so much better once you get the epidural. I am smiling and laughing again. The only thing I didn't expect was to be so tired. I forgot that even though I don't feel the pain my body is working its butt off. Good luck. You are going to do great!!
