Dd surgery update

It went well overall. Dd went batshit crazy when she woke up and her bp/heart rate were through the roof which was kind of scary but they calmed her with drugs and she's home. She got out of surgery at 11, its 330 here now and she's still asleep. She woke up about a half hour ago, smiled at me and said hi and went back to sleep. Lol. Nervous about the next few days but looking forward to dd hearing/breathing better when she sleeps.

    Glad it went well. DS wakes up BSC from surgery too. Hope she has a good recovery.

    I think I read on another thread that it was adenoid surgery?  Just a heads up, DS 1 had his out last year and his breath for a week afterwards.....unbearable.  I felt guilty for having to turn my head away from him when I was holding him but I was pg with DS 2 and couldn't take it.  Glad she is doing well though.

    Poor girl!  I hope recovery goes well.  I know a couple kids that had a tough couple weeks and others that were normal the next day.

    Glad to hear she's doing well and sleeping!  :)

    I bet when she wakes up she'll be all over those pouches :P

    Yep, adenoids and tubes. Her doctor warned me about the stinky breath and its as bad as I heard. Lol. I had my adenoids out in adulthood so sadly I remembered that part and dh did too. Haha. Otherwise she's doing really well though. Running around playing with her brother currently and just finished dinner of real food which I was pleasantly surprised about. Still kind of nervous about tomorrow since I know it sometimes gets worse before it gets better.
