Blurred lines, the HPT kind ***Update with Beta***

So I recently got a BFP at 13 DPO, which seems a couple days later than usual for most ladies that test early.  Over the last 4 days they still look faint and haven't really darkened.  I had a beta quant and progesterone drawn today at my OB office, but I don't find out the result until tomorrow.  

In your experience, how soon was it before your BFP's got darker?

In case you can't read my scribbles, the photo shows the progression from 13-17 DPO.  I had spotting at 14 DPO, so I am pretty suspicious for a CP.



UPDATE: Today I was called with the results from my blood draw yesterday.  

At 4 weeks, 3 days my beta was 218.2 and my progesterone 15.62.  

Does this beta seems a little on the low side?  I had a temp drop this morning too, so I feel like this is bad news.  I charted and had a clear shift, so I am certain on the days.  They scheduled me for an 8 week appt, but I have a really bad feeling about the whole thing.  Any experience with low betas??

    well you tested all on Wandfos, I'd go get a FRER.

    from what i gather about wondfo's - the darkness of your actual line doesn't really indicate bfp or not;it's the presence of hcg at all.  so any line on a wondfo is a good sign.  i'd still recommend getting a FRER as suggested by PP

    Hi there @snowflake312!

    I was the SAME way. I must have peed on 20 things over a 4-5 day period. But I googled and the consesus was that a line is a line. If you can turn a digital, you are pregnant!

    Congrats!

    I have decided to only use digitals if I need reassurance.

    PS, you wondfo's are still darker than mine were!

    Thanks so much for the input ladies. I threw away the Wondfros and POA(real)S. The line looks much darker now. This gives me a little peace of mind until I get my results back tomorrow. :)

    I would be May 23rd. :)   I saw your post on TTGP and can see we're only a few days apart.  I may post one tomorrow.  The crazy part of me is far too nervous.

    Wondfos are very sensitive..you can get a line as early as on a FRER in my experience, but they do take some time to get darker. I'm also a POASaholic. Hope you get some good HCG results and a nice dark line soon.

    Wondfo's are wack.  Mine didn't get as dark as the control line until 20-22 DPO.  You could see if your FRER is darker than before, or wait it out.  Good luck!

    I've been getting faint lines on Wondfos for a week now.  They come up faster each day but don't get darker.  FRER on the other hand are definitely getting much darker.  I'd try a FRER.




    dx:  Unexplained IF
     TTC since May 2011, 1 year trying, and then 3 TI, 2 IUI = BFN
    IVF #1 (May 2013):  Antagonist Protocol: 
    24R, 18M, 15F w/ICSI; 5dt of 2 early blasts, no frosties = BFN
     IVF #2 (August 2013):  Lupron Stop Protocol: 
    28R, 23M, 15F w/ICSI; 5dt of 1 partially hatched blast, 7 frosties = BFP
    EDD 5/23/14, blighted ovum (6w6d), D&C (8w6d)
    FET #1 (April 2014):  transferred 2 5d blasts = BFP

    These are the lines from my successful pg with DS2. You can see it took the Wondfos some time to get darker. THat first dark line is an HCG booster shot.

    My wondfo's didn't get darker very fast at all. I'd either wait a few days or take a FRER :-)  Also I finally had to say a BFP is a BFP and stop POAS... LOL :-)  Congrats BTW!!

    When I had my betas drawn in my 4th week the first was 204 the second was 457 its not really the number that counts its its doubling that matters. I'm at 6wks now and we have a heart beat and my betas were over 13k

    The beta seems okay...there can be a huge variation depending on so many factors.  However, that progesterone seems a little low to me. You may need to ask about being supplemented.  
    IF DX: DOR & Fragile X pre-mutation carrier
    2011: FSH 13.3 & E 99; AMH 0.54 2nd FSH 6.2 E 40's AFC: 8
    BFP from Clomid/IUI ~ Pre-e and IUGR during pregnancy ~ DS born 9/4/12
    Feb./March 2013: AMH less than 0.16 (undectable) and AFC = 4;
    BFP from supps ~ DS#2 due May 2014

    Confession time...

    Hello. My name is Snowflake and I'm addicted to POAS.  I actually took them out of the trash can after throwing them away yesterday and took another this morning.  My wondfo, thankfully, was darker.  I gave a sigh of relief, then threw them all in the dumpster. (No way I'm going in there!)

    I've now decided I'm certifiably crazy and am done, no more peeing on sticks.

    Thanks for listening and all your advice. I've now decided to be happy, because clearly this isn't healthy.  What happens, happens.
