Sac only?

Hi Ladies!

Today I have my first ultrasound after taking several pregnancy tests last week that came back positive! We were so excited and the nurse guessed I was about 5 weeks based on my LMP. 

Today at the docs the ultrasound showed only a gestational sac, which I'm hearing can be normal this early on. She also said I'm not as far along as they had guessed and dated me at 4 weeks 6 days but added she couldn't confirm my pregnancy until they saw some activity in the sac.

My doctor didn't seem too concerned but of course, as a first-time mommy-to-be, I started to worry a bit. I hope next week's u/s shows a little baby!

Any of you have similar situation?

    What ended up happening?  I hope everything went well! I also had an u/s to date the pregnancy and they said it was less than 5 weeks (I was expecting at least 6 weeks) and they could only see the gestational sack.  I'm scheduled for another u/s on 9/26 but that feels so far away.  Hoping we see a fetal pole, yolk sac and heart beat next time around. :)

    It did! I went for my six weeks last week and they saw the yolk sac, a tiny white dot that was the fetus and the teeny flicker of a heartbeat! Thanks for asking. :) 

    Good luck with yours on the 26th - you should be able to see a lot by then!
