I'm in the Richmond area! I'm not pregnant at the moment though. We have a 20 month old and are hoping to TTC again soon.
If you want, I can send you a bunch of links for mom/momtobe groups!
The next meeting I know of is at Franklin Goose in carytown on Monday the 4th at 6:30. It's a group called birth talk. It is what it sounds like, pregnant ladies discussing pregnancy and birth.
Hey, I'm your neighbor in Colonial Heights. We found out on Valentine's Day. Due date around Oct. 18... But I go for my first prenatal appt. next Monday to know for sure.
This is our first one... Nervous, scared, happy, and excited all at the same time! :
I live in Tuckahoe and we are expecting our first baby on October 18th! I would love to get together or chat with other expecting moms near me. I have a lot of married friends but we are the first in our circle to get pregnant. It would be nice to have a support group who knows whats going on!
Meets at Franklin Goose in Carytown. There are a lot of pro natural birth/home birth/breast feeding moms there but there are also moms who give birth in hospitals with epidurals, etc.
You get all kinds of folks on this page- my suggestion would be to join your local group. We moved to RVA while I was pregnant with our first and most of my friends are ladies I've met through this group.
Once you've had your babies there is also Mothering/Postpartum Circle (postpartum as in, just had a baby within the last year or so, not as in PP depression support group or anything- although there is one of those also!)
We're getting ready to TTC #2 in the next month or so, so hopefully I'll be joining you all!
I'm really interested in the Facebook group I am a natural birth mom now pregnant with my second. I was searching for a mid wife through my insurance company but none of them did home. Births.... Probably because they bill through an OB practice. Thanks!

Hi there! Located in Midlothian and my EDD was May 6th. We are inducing on the 13th, if she doesn't come before then. Was really hoping for her to be here before Mother's Day, but alas probably not. Any FTM's in Midlothian?
I know this is a late reply but I will be a SAHM starting in June. I have a 24 month old son I am in Tuckahoe. I am not sure if you are working or staying home but I just started a playgroup on FB "Richmond Mom Playgroup West End, Glen Allen, Short Pump"
