Done with winter coat hunting

Zulily had a pink one piece bunting in the ARCTIX boutique in a size 12-18 months for $19 (and I do unlimited shipping) so I snatched it up.  It says it's thin with some special fabric that makes it warm but thin so I figure it will work for the car seat too.  Glad to be done with the winter coat hunt.  

My mom got her this as her "dress coat" at Von Maur:

    @miss50 if you are in Wisconsin, no.  Hahahaha.  

    I want to be able to go for walks and stuff still in the winter (though of course they'll be short walks) so I wanted something warmer for her.  And if she wants to play in the snow with DS then she needed something for that too, so this one piece thing should do it.  She's tiny and not really in 12 month size yet so I'm hoping this 12-18 month size lasts from November-March for her since that's how long our winters are.

    That jacket is adorable. My DD would LOOOVE that.

    @miss50 - Hoodies for to and from the car should be fine. That's what I did/do for DD and will do for DS. We live in Minnesota and definitely don't get mild winters here. I just add a hat and gloves when needed. 

    You can also buy a fleece jacket. I'm pretty sure Target has them for 15-20$ that work great for the car too.

    Your Mom sounds like mine.  What does a baby need a "dress coat" for anyway?!  It's totally something my Mom would buy.  She's hilarious.

    Need or not, that coat is ADORABLE! I got DD a denim jacket this weekend. She also has a very thin quilted jacket, but she will need something warmer at some point.

    That's a cute dress coat! Glad you found her winter coat and you can be done shopping. While I'm ready for winter I'm not looking forward to carrying the kids to and from the car in the freezing cold!

    Darn it.  Guess I better start looking.  I was thinking I needed something heavy after swim class on Saturday.  I hated winter coats as a kid.  Sage hates wearing clothes.

    @bunkinmama, hates clothes.  cries and scream the entire time.  i haven't been posting many photos of her at home, because I don't make her wear clothes.  i'm awesome!
